  1. Laughable, how many different plug types are there across the EU
  2. We was NRS and their support was great. but then civica took over and everything went down hill. Forced an expensive upgrade on us. Bottom line I cannot wait to get rid of them. Shocking support Don't think we will be renewing the contract
  3. Knew someone would know the answer. Cheers
  4. Evening, Newish 3CX install and loving it. Is it possible to have two different voice messages on an extension. So if I dialed the extension internally I get one message, And someone calls from external via DDI to the same extension there is a different message played. Thinking of our attendance line. Cheers
  5. Was thinking that but if I put the phone on a different vlan with DHCP it will auto provision
  6. defo subnet masks are correct. If i put laptops on the ranges they have no problems, pinging anything. Other phones do have any problems at all.
  7. I have just deleted the nick card out of the 3CX server and re added it out of curiosity. Still the same. Just tried to give this phone a static IP address 10.0.0.50 the server and the phone could not ping each other tried the static IP addresses 10.0.0.51, 10.0.0.52, 10.0.0.53 and the phone and server CAN ping each other and it auto provisions. Gave it the static IP address 10.0.0.54, the server and the phone could NOT ping each other.
  8. Hi, Nope there are no ACL's. I have moved the non working phone to a known working port. still the same issue. - - - Updated - - - I'm only trying to ping via IP address
  9. Thanks Chris, Its a new setup. Been at it for days. I have factory rest the phone, checked the IP blacklist. There is nothing funky on the DHCP scope. I have taken the config off a working phone and applied it to the non working phone - no difference. This morning i shut the 3cx server down, then put my laptop on the phone VLAN with the 3CX IP address (10,0,0,3). Connected the T41 up which gets an IP from the DCHP (10.0.0.20). Then from the phone UI | network diagnostics I can ping 10.0.0.3 So I know the are no problems with VLAN / DHCP scope. So with phone still pluged in i shut the laptop off, powered up the 3CX server. From the phone cannot ping the 3CX server 10.0.0.3 I have double / triple checked the firewall is off on the server. I even stopped all the 3CX services - still no joy. From the server i cannot ping the phone on IP 10.0.0.20
  10. Cheers, Just double checked, nope nothing in there :-(
  11. Strange issue 3cx hosted in house. Yealink T41s phones. I have a port on the wall configured to the same VLAN as the 3CX server. This VLAN is dishing out IP’s via DHCP. Majority of T41s get an IP address I can see them in the 3CX server and they all auto provision as they should. So they is no issue with the DHCP. Now the strange bit. I have some phones that get IP addresses on the correct VLAN, I can see them in the DHCP address leases. I refresh the ‘phones’ tab on 3CX server and the phone is highlighted in bold. The MAC of the phone is assigned to and extension. Its will not auto provision. I can ping the phone from other devices on my network. So now I go to the PhonesUI and login and start checking things. On the phoneUI network tab I go to diagnostics and try the ping. I can ping the gateway IP, I can ping other phones on the VLAN I can ping 8.8.8.8 But I cannot ping the 3cx server, I get 100% packet loss. On a couple of the phones that will not auto provision I have given it a static IP address (on the same 3CX server VLAN) and it worked. But it will not work for all the phones. I have made sure they are all on the correct VLAN. They all have the correct and same Firmware. 3CX version 16.0.9 Phone firmware 66.86.0.5 Any pointers?? Cheers EDIT - the firewall on the 3cx windows server is switched off
  12. Nope, still staying with my Linux box [emoji4]
  13. Cheers. No real reason I picked them 1 TB drives, they was just on the selection tool on HP's site. I did also miss off the 10 gig network cards.
  14. How do, Looking to replace my 3 virtual host servers (running vmWare) Currently have a SAN but looking to drop this out of the loop. 15. AH, In this portal https://intuneeducation.portal.azure.com/ I now found a tick box in Tenant setting. clicked it. now gone back to Endpoint Manager> Devices> Enrol Devices> Enrolment Restrictions> Device Type Restrictions as you have said. I can now edit the settings. Thanks
  16. Hi, Thanks for this. But I cannot make any changes when I click properties :-(
  17. Just done a couple of tests with a couple of virtual machines. Signing into Teamsn and "allow my origination to manage my device” creates an device entry in endpoint,microsoft.com. The OS is Bit Lockered and the key saved to desktop. The key does not show against the device. If i go into Bit locker and click "backup your recovery key" click " save to your cloud domain account" it immediately saves and is viewable against the device in endpoint. The same as i saw against the parents device. So now thinking the parent has done the same. ie the signing in with a O365 account will not automatically grab the Bit Locker key. Its just that they have save to the key to the domain account. Cheers
  18. Hope you can help. We do not use MS InTune (as yet). Had a email from a parent asking why we are managing his laptop with InTune. The device has never been attached to my wireless. This device is totally a personal device. So far as I understand it, they had downloaded the MS Teams app, then signed in with the daughter’s office 365 account. Apparently they are having trouble signing out of Teams. On his investigations the laptop is registered and managed by our InTune. Also Intune has a copy of his BitLocker recovery key. Checking my Azure AD and drilling down to the devices I can see that a copy of the BitLocker recovery keys are there. I am guessing that when they have signed into the Teams App they have left the tick in the box “allow my origination to manage my device” If they did leave the tick in the box, there is no warning about what info they would give (ie the Bit Locker key) Quite rightly the father is not happy about the fact I now have his bit locker recovery key. Is there a way to stop the grabbing of the recovery key? What have I done wrong, all the setting are out of the box. Any pointer greatly appreciated Cheers
  19. Nov 2019, I moved to Linux as my main work desktop and laptop. Have I missed Windows 10, NOPE. As I do more in the Linux terminal, I'm finding I'm doing more in Powershell when I have to touch a Windows box. I've had a Ubuntu server running DNS in a separate network for non domain devices. It's been rock solid for 5 years. Never turned off in that time apart from the odd reboot due to updates. Why can't windows DNS be like that.
  20. Morning, A friend with a fairly large house needs mesh system due to dead spots of WiFi coverage. Never looked at a mesh system before for home use. He has a Draytek router, so been looking at the Draytek mesh system. Anyone used this before? Is it easy to setup? Does the mesh router replace the current router? Are there better options? For any mesh system do they connect to the current wifi router? thanks for your thoughts
  21. Looking at a server refresh now. Going to be dropping the SAN out of the loop and going to pack the servers with local storage. Seems to be the way forward
  22. I just extracted the wim file, used dism to remove the rubbish and put that into the task sequence. Previously used fat images to deploy win 10 because of Adobe CS6. It was just easier and quicker. So now CS6 is deployed after setup, just takes longer but works
  23. Gave up sysprep. Just could not get it to work. Seemed to be the language pack.
