  1. You can push an MDM profile for classroom without the need for the device to be supervised, IRC.
  2. It works on any device.
  3. As I thought. Presumably this is due to the accessibility settings being in there...
  4. I don't think you could ever hide the Settings app?
  5. You can upgrade your licence for free if you're under 100 devices if you would like to access the new features...
  6. We've done this for our new build. We simply bought a HD Logitech webcam, securely fastened it to a wall and had it take a photo every half an hour using TinCam (Free) running off an old Gigabyte Brix. We then take the photos and just combine them together in a video editor with each still being one frame and make a video that way. It seems to work fairly well and cost us about £30. The only issues we have had really have been in the winter months, with the site being south facing and the sun on the camera's lens and window it's pressed against, but I think it's hard to get away from that. ConstructFilms (Construct Films) have also done one on our site from different angles - it might be worth contacting them to see if they can help.
  7. Meraki doesn't appear to have been updated yet for these new controls. I read they are due this month though.
  8. You are supposed to be able to block certain apps in 9.3 - so here's hoping I can block Settings/Clock/Calendar apps! I haven't tried myself yet so I'm not 100% sure if it's possible.
  9. Welcome to the club! It's annoying. I really hope for a solution from Apple for this in an iOS update too.
  10. I agree, it was a horrendous change. The old interface and general UX was far better.
  11. You can select more than one user in the OUs in the Google Apps admin console. Click the first user you want to select, move to the last user you want to select and click while holding down shift - all users in that range are then selected as they would be in any other environment, like Explorer, Excel etc. Once users are selected, you can bulk suspend/move them using the icons at the top. I really wish the admin console on Google Apps would allow sorting via anything other than Username though - I would like to sort things via access date etc. It does seem Google would prefer you use third party admin scripts or apps using their APIs. Which is painful when you want to do something fairly basic.
  12. I've found Configurator 2 far too problematic to use in a real world deployment at the moment. It's a nice idea and it looks a lot better, but until it actually works properly and reliably, I'm not touching it, and staying with the old one.
  13. Genius idea! I'll give that a whirl! Thanks.
  14. I'm just looking at this now also. It does appear to be a Windows setting, so perhaps it will be a Windows GPO that needs adjusting somewhere?
  15. When I saw it at Bett they could just close the app.
  16. Software QC seems to have gone to pot at Apple in recent years (and probably industry wide too), so it's not that surprising really. They mainly seem to be bothered about aesthetics it seems!
  17. This is highly annoying. It used to happen on previous versions but you could disable this in Preferences. They seem to have taken that away too now!
  18. I couldn't see a way. I've just abandoned AC2 for now until either some updates are released for it which improves things or it's better documented.
  19. Groups seem to have been replaced by Tags. I guess the positive thing about this is a device can have multiple tags unlike the old group system was was more like AD OUs.
  20. Yes, iOS 9 does work with AC 1.72. I agree, totally pointless. AC2 can distribute the VPP Managed Licences though, you just need to sign in to your VPP account in AC2. It doesn't require MDM. This is probably one of the better things about AC2 - it's just a shame it's totally useless to us at the moment!
  21. This is a big deal for us too. I can't think of any good reason why they should have removed that functionality. Sure it can restore a back up, but then as soon as it prepares it to supervise it, it wipes it! Config 1.7 manages this, so why can't they allow 2.0 to do this? Madness.
  22. Agreed. I'm looking at it now. It's somewhat different!
  23. You can block the Apple update servers using your web filtering solution. I can't remember where I got the list of them from now, but it won't be hard to find on Google.
  24. I see this error (or something vaguely similar) when it's trying to set the user OU. I've always thought it's something to do with the Google APIs not performing as they should as it's certainly not the configuration as far as I can see.
