[1709, fcu] Windows 10 (1709) – NPS wireless policy issues
Mark182 replied to Mark182's topic in Windows 10
This seen this so will give that a try -
We are rolling out Windows 10 this summer and are slowly building things in the background and testing. We seem to be having an issue where our Win10 wireless clients will not connect. All we get is ‘action needed’ If I right click and click connect everything connects and works fine. We do not have this issue with our Win 7 clients. Seems like it’s not auto connecting. I am about to check the logs but wondering if anyone else has seen similar?

Don't get me started on that. We got that number down as it was far higher. SLT, heads of departments, PE, P&G and x 2 of the ICT support staff have phones.....
-
Not a bad idea but we don't have an IPhone ourselves, can you update the contacts via iTunes?
-
We did look at that but doesn't seem to be dynamic as we don't want the phones back every two minutes.

Office 365 here, although we are mid way through setting up our AD link upto office 365.

Going to cut a long story short, managing the school issued mobile phones to staff has landed on our desk. Looks like we are going to have around 20 - 30 phones after a review by SLT. Sometimes we can have a high turn around of staff and someone was meant to keep on top of the mobile phone address book on each phone. There is no way we are this manually. We have been offered MaaS360, that's a full on MDM solution and a little pricey. Looks like all the phones will be smartphones (Iphones) - So my question is what does your school do you keep the address book up to date?

We have used Live Register for the last 8 years and they have been brilliant with us.

I know what our issue is ha. Will use this to sort it.

For a very unknown reason when users are logging in today they are getting this error Did you change your password recently? It looks like you entered your old password. Please try again with your new password. CorrelationId: ddf12b34-7a66-41a8-877a-745f8ea7add8 Timestamp: 2017-10-11 08:48:14Z I've checked the office 365 portal and everything has green ticks....Anyone else having this today?

HAHAHA Well done. Before you get your result, would you like a £20 voucher to spend at Majestic Wines? Please note vouchers are: - New customers only - £60 minimum spend - Not valid in Scotland

Installing this now and going to give it a bash.

We are speaking to our ISP now asking for firewall logs. No Barry is not part of our naming convention.

FYI image. We have RDS set up on a 2012 R2 server fully patched (Windows updates wise) We've noticed all these audit failures with different usernames (mostly generic). I am guessing we are being Brute-force attacked? We have an SSL cert for this server. The last few days of logs are full of failed log ins. No successful attempts. We also have a security group in AD and if you are not a member of that group wont let you log in. I am guessing we are being probed in other ways. We have had the company who issued the SSL cert run a security audit when we first got the cert and make some amendments they advised. I am guessing maybe we should go down the VPN route and decommission our RDS server or is that overkill? Any advice?

Have a look here we had the same.

God help you if you ever want to use more than 4GB's of RAM. As others has suggested I'd contact Lenovo.
