Hi Guys We have setup a KMS Server to activate Office 2010. So far we have deployed it to around 40 computers but when I run the following command in bold on the KMS Server says it hasn't activated any Office installs: C:\Windows\System32>cscript slmgr.vbs /dlv bfe7a195-4f8f-4f0b-a622-cf13c7d16864 Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.8 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. This may be a coincidence (I suspect not) but this morning one install of Office 2010 was saying it was unlicensed and I had to manually activate it - this is the 1st time I've had to do this. I'm new to KMS so I'm not sure what to do now. Does anyone have any advice for me to help me fix this problem? Cheers! Matt

I've been driving for 5 1/2 years (am 23) and have had: - Fiat Punto P Reg. It was horrible to drive especially as one of my brothers put low profile tyres on it when he owned it. Drove it for a year and don't miss it one bit! - Mitsubishi Colt GLX 2000 plate. This car was very fun to drive but it was getting rather unreliable and expensive so I sold it. Apparently it has had nearly £2k worth of repairs since the sale and I only sold it for £700 lol. Mind you the MOT I put it through just before the sale didn't reveal any of these issues so I'm rather glad I ditched it. - Mitsubishi Lancer GS2 '10 plate. Bought from new and got 20-25% off the retail price as the garage was desperate for sales! Oddly it was about £1k cheaper than the used 2 year old Lancer I was going to buy. So yeah I had a new car at 21 - fully financed by me (well by the loan) I might add

Unfortunately not. I've updated the drivers, made a new kernel, set BIOS to AHCI and now in the Compatibility Test it's showing as DISK...PASS rather than fail, however now it's hanging on Decompressing Linux...Parsing ELF...done. Booting the kernel I've just removed the Host Kernel Arguments settings one by one (acpi=off noirq noapic), created a new task each time, and after all 3 were removed FOG is now working and taking an image of this netbook!! Finally!! Thanks for all your help guys

Mobo: Toshiba NPVAA Sata Controller: Intel N10/ICH7 SATA Storage Controller - 27C0 HDD: Fujitsu MJA2250BH G2-(S1) CPU: Intel Atom N450 Graphics: Intel GMA 3150 (Toshiba NB300-108 (PLL3EE) Looking for newer drivers now.

I'm going to revive my thread as I have some time to revisit this issue. I have just managed to run the FOG Compatibility Test on the Netbook and it fails on DISK. I'm using a custom kernel I put together which seems to work better than the stock kernels and if it helps, my Host Kernel Arguments settings are: acpi=off noirq noapic. As soon as I've finished my lunch I'm going to update the SATA drivers and try again. Does anyone else have any suggestions to try? Thanks again! EDIT: The SATA Controller Mode in the BIOS is set to Compatibility.

What issues did you have with Sophos? Only problem we encountered was that it couldn't uninstall McAfee 8.8 from the Console, so instead we used a script to uninstall it then went back to the Console and installed Sophos across the network.
-
Ah yes thanks for that! Millions upon millions of apps varying from cr@p to excellent. I've never had an iphone but I'd imagine that the most popular apps for iOS have been ported to Android.

I've got one and I like it. It's got a nice big screen, loud clear speakers, very fast OS, lots of storage etc etc. As a bonus, Samsung / Dropbox give you a 50gb Dropbox account for free! Only oddity I have found so far is that the backlight doesn't appear to work when browsing the internet, but that may be due to a setting I've changed.

I'm not sure to be honest. It looks like the netbook establishes a connection with the fog server then crashes when it tries to do something with APIC: 0.479183 pci 0000.00:1d.0: PCI > APIC IRQ transform: INT A > IRQ 23 0.479294 pci 0000.00:1d.1: PCI > APIC IRQ transform: INT A > IRQ 19 0.479399 pci 0000.00:1d.2: PCI > APIC IRQ transform: INT A > IRQ 18 0.479502 pci 0000.00:1d.3: PCI > APIC IRQ transform: INT A > IRQ 16 0.479608 pci 0000.00:1d.7: PCI > APIC IRQ transform: INT A > IRQ 23 Does that mean anything to you? As it doesn't mean anything to me Thanks again.

Just tried this and the laptop scrolled through a wall of text quickly and has stopped / got stuck. No error messages on the screen its stuck at either

Unfortunately disabling any form of power management didn't fix the problem. Yeah I've tried this and I still get the same error message. Thanks for the suggestion guys.

Hi We have successfully used FOG to image around 50 Toshiba NB200s with the latest FOG kernel and Windows 7, however we have come to the last 2 to image and they are Toshiba NB300s. I was hoping that it would "just work" like before but unfortunately I get the following error when it tries to PXE boot: loading fog/images/init.gz.........................ready [0.276046] tps65010: no chip? It just hangs there until I unplug the network cable. I have: - Updated the BIOS as per some suggestions on Google - In host management I have this setting configured - Host Kernel Arguments: acpi=off noirq - The NB300 image type, like the NB200 image type, is set to "multiple partition image - single disk" I've now run out of ideas on what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cheers Matt

Hi all I've been asked to look into creating a software package for Virtualbox + an image of XP (our new PCs have 2gb ram - not enough for a virtualbox + W7) for programming classes that are going to happen sometime next school year. This also needs to be ideally free but if you know of some relatively cheap solutions my boss may be persuaded to go down that route. I had a go at getting a package made with Virtualbox + an XP image and it didn’t quite work as intended – the XP image doesn’t show up for any users in Virtualbox and they cannot access the C Drive to load up the images. However this is possibly a good thing as I don’t see how we would go about resetting the Virtual image without reinstalling the software package after each use (it does have a snapshot feature but if these got deleted then we’re back to reinstalling the software again). What I think it possibly a good idea is – I can make a simple Virtualbox package which doesn’t contain any Virtual images and install that on any PC we want it on. Then in a student accessible drive I can put a previously exported Virtual image of XP in a folder then all anyone has to do is double click it and import it into Virtualbox. This takes 2 clicks and about 3 minutes to import it on my PC. Or I can try again and get Virtualbox to have an image pre-loaded when any user runs the software. What do you guys think? Have you looked into doing this yet and if so what have you done? Thanks for any suggestions Matt

Carphone Warehouse added a new SGS3 deal yesterday which is something like: 24 month contract on Three "The One Plan" for £34 p/m 5000 texts 2000 any network mins 2000 three-to-three mins UNLIMITED data usage UNLIMITED tethering Phone is free + free 32gb sd card + other goodies if you pre-order It beats any other deal I've seen by a long way so I pre-ordered mine last night!
-
What contract are you guys going for? I cannot decide. Do I really want a 24 month contract for £36 p/m? Not ideal contract length but Carphone Warehouse has a nice free pre-order bundle offer atm. Do I really want to pay £500 up front so i don't have to have a 24 month contract? Again not great but I can get a new phone after 18 months or so if I want. I am going to go with Three for their unlimited data allowance but is tethering useful / worth while (e.g is it painfully slow?) for the extra £10 a month?? Or should I just get the £15 p/m unlimited data contract? Sometimes I really am rubbish at making decisions

I'm due an upgrade so I'll be getting one when its released!

The custom ICS ROM on my SGS has seperate proxy settings for each wireless point I can connect to so unless this has been "hacked" into the ROM then the answer I assume is yes. Good point. Guess I may have to root it and go with another ROM then.
-
Oh yes the 3rd is Thursday. Doh! The rumoured specs of the phone sound awesome so its a possibility but it wouldn't surprise me if Samsung butcher ICS. I'm hoping they decide to not touch the software and leave it as a vanilla ICS or as vanilla as possible.
-
I am waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S3 which should be announced tomorrow and hopefully released asap

Internet has been up and down all morning for us and all these outages are starting to get ridiculous...
-
Yep "some people in the SWG area are having connectivity problems" according to someone @ SWGFL. We had slow internet from 14:20 to 14:40 but all seems ok now.
-
Yeah that seems to happen with a lot (all?) US shows - I.E House is on a "mid-season break" at the moment.
-
Here's the TV shows I watch. Think nearly all of the series have finished apart from 1 or 2 so my TV viewing is going to be dull until the end of the year (note I *ahem* watch the episodes when they 1st get released in America not 6 months later when they are released here). Suits House The Walking Dead Family Guy American Dad South Park

To answer my own question, I used GParted Live (great tool!) to resize the partition, deleted the original smaller image on the fog server, reuploaded the new bigger image and now when I deploy the image, the partition is 15gb
-
Oh yes good point I totally forgot about that partition. I assume I am overlooking the obvious, but is there any way to get FOG to backup an entire partition rather than just the data? For example, I've created a 15gb partition on a Windows 7 Netbook, uploaded the snapshot, test deployed it, but it has only taken an image of all data rather than the entire partition. This leaves us no room to install any more programs if we have the need to. *goes back to do more research*
