  2. @garthsmojo someone hasn't read their PM's methinks.... (http://www.edugeek.net/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=10271&start=24)
  3. STOP TALKING ABOUT MONAROS! I'd just managed to talk myself OUT of getting one (after I talked myself out of getting a VXR8.. defo can't afford that) *sob*Iwantone*sob*
  4. Ah bless. You guys make me proud to be a Kiwi!
  5. It could be worse... at least you're not treating them like he does Cutty!
  6. We're just about to upgrade from Alice to Oliver
  7. I've had 2 new ones (I got a new one when I moved out and left the ex with the old one) and I "upgraded" the old one to an 80Gb HD when the 40Gb Maxtor (rubbish brand in my experience) died after 13 months. It was in a poorly ventilated cabinet and the heat killed it. The replacement is still going strong after another 2 years (don't ask how I know... long story), and I've had my new one for 12 months now and it's only crashed a couple of times.

  9. I want to get this printed on a shirt. Any recommendations for makers of custom T-Shirts or Polo shirts?
  10. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/lesyeux/not-lupus.png When I saw this picture in a recent issue of "Custom PC" mag, I went trawling on the Net to try and find it because coincidentally I'd been thinking similar thoughts on the show i.e why is Lupus mentioned so much in the show? Is it a common disease? (i'd never heard of it before) Does anyone else find it amusing? (or is it just my warped sence of humour?) There's another one here (chunkier) with a nice youtube link to highlight their point... http://itsnotlup.us/
  11. Just F1 and Rugby if NZ is playing. Really looking forward to the RWC next month... Ironically, I used to watch football when I lived in NZ, but stopped when I moved to the UK. It isn't a sport here... it's a religion! (all the poor sportmanship, jersey pulling, acting, and general cheating has put me off it completely)
  12. Any chance of a link?
  13. Not yet. But even if they do it will be overwritten the next time they login.
  14. I've set our BGInfo to save to the users home areas. Gets around the locked C: problem
  15. You'll make it through the Pool games no probs I'd say
  16. The options are listed with the Pool they are in and their world ranking. I had to delete a lot of teams because it would only let me have a limited number of poll options, sorry. My avatar probably gives away my vote, but I'd just like to make an official statement - I support TWO teams: 1) NZ 2) Anyone playing Australia
  17. ...must...resist...urge...to...correct...spelling...and...gramatical...errors...........
  18. We set the password to their postcodes, and force them to change at first login
  19. Working on Saturday? Poor chap.....
  20. I've got an account with Alpha Telecom. I can phone NZ anytime of day for a mere 3p/min (landline to landline). The only time I ever have any probs with their service is when every-man-and-his-dog is likely to be phoning and all the lines get jammed (e.g Xmas and New Years, etc) I think their rate to USA is the same... http://www.alphatelecom.com
  21. We've been told by our LEA not to put Office 2007 onto any machines that run SIMS

    Family.Show

ok it doesn't like Firefox... Have to use Internet Exploder instead... *pout*
  23. We also use MDaemon for the students. The UK distributor is Zen Software http://www.zensoftware.co.uk/mdaemon/ They also do educational discounts. MDaemon has it's own web client called WorldClient and the way we've got it setup the students can also access their email from home (or any other Internet connection)
  24. Ergonomically, I was under the impression that the top of the monitor should be at eye level. IMHO if the monitor is sitting on top of the desktop, it's harder for the little darlings to move or fiddle with it, so that's my preference.
