Their was no issue with these laptops when they was on Windows 7. Just when they are being upgraded to Windows 10. It must be a drivers issue but these are uptodate from dells website.

I have a strange issues with some of our laptops that wont pickup the Promethean touch panel. Before they was upgraded to Windows 10 they worked fine with a 5M cable to the laptop. Now some of the laptops (Dell 3350 and a E5440 wont pick up the 5m and give me an error in the device manager. Swap the cable for a 2/3M cable and they work fine. Any ideas? Latest chipset drivers are installed from Dells website.

Hi all. Random issues with Windows 10 and my new GPOs. Have I missed something with the firewall as sometimes if my users take their laptops home they get warning about the firewall. Is there any way around this? Thanks.

Both server and client are on the same network. No one else is reporting this problem. :/

Hi. At one of my sites there is a few staff android phones and they are locked to a Google Account that we cant get in to. (No one seems to know any information about them) They are LG K9. I have tired factory reset but it coming up locked against a google account. (No information about who the account was registed agaist Any ideas how i can get these phone reset?

Strange. Done a few windows and office updates and it seems to be working and added the account without error. - strange. The images was only made in july/Aug.

Different computers - Same problem Nothing jumping out of the event logs about this user.

Hi, I have an issue when staff are trying to setup outlook. They go though the first setup wizard but when Outlook goes off to check we get an error like this: This is a Office 365 exchange with Outlook 2016 (I'm more likely to say this may be an dns issue) Any ideas?

Hi, Got a user that uses Outlook 2016 (with Exchange 2016 on prem) every now and then outlook will stop syncing and claim it needs a passwords. If you click on the bottom taskbar and click on "need password" it will reconnect back with Exchange and sync emails. Things we tried - Resetting users' password - Cached mode / Direct Connection with Exchange Server - New outlook profile - Different Computer Kind of running out of things to try. Any ideas?

Hi, I have rewritten our policy for Windows 10 and its not showing Office, Sims etc on the start menu. Its just showing the apps. Is their anything missing in group policy that i haven't changed? Thanks

Hi, Trying to deploy Netsh Winhttp settings but i cant seem to find it in the registry to import in to Group Policy. Anyone have any ideas on where its hidden? Thanks Karl

I looked though DHCP and DNS and couldn't see anything. Also deleted the entry for it. Changed the MAC address (Set windows 10 to use a random mac address) and reconnected and it works. So there something that is blocking the MAC address of this laptop.

I can ping the default gateway from everything else. Just not these laptops. Yes DHCP and static ip address i tired. I would plug a cable in but some nice little so and so has damaged the Nic.

Everything is on the same Vlan. I cant ping the default gateway. (i can ping it from everything else)

Hi, (bit of background. Multi-site on SWGfL) I have 2 laptops that will connect to local servers that are onsite but wont connect other servers that are at other sites or the internet. it only seems to be these 2 laptops which are effected. They have been reimaged and updated networking drivers and still no luck. They will connect to my phone without any problems. Any ideas? Are SWGfL blocking these laptops?

Hi all, i got an odd one here. A user is having problems running some reports from sims. We are getting an error asking about macro storage. I have checked trust center and that looks fine for me. Is there any option that i need to be ticked? I used to have notes about Sims and Office which had things that needed to be ticked/unticked but i cant find it. (and it was for old office 2010) Windows 10 Edu/Office 2016 (Redirected Docs/Desktop etc... only thing not being redirected is AppData) Thanks

Have you tired using "Netsh Winhttp Import Proxy Ie" This will update the computer to use RM proxies to for system level? (Just an idea)
