  1. I'm getting closer to finding out the problem. It turns out that if someone logs into a Win10 after I have opened the iTALC console they won't appear and it will just say "can't connect to host". Once they are logged in, if I close down the console and reopen it, their session will appear in the console. It's as though the console can't connect to the client service unless someone is logged in. Our Windows 7 PCs are fine. You can see the login screen if they aren't logged in. Can anyone think of what setting change I need to make so that it will connect regardless of if a user is logged in?
  2. Has anyone managed to get iTALC to work with Windows 10? We use it here for Windows 7 and it works very well with hardly any issues. I've just noticed that my Windows 10 desktops don't connect properly in the iTALC management console. It's installed in exactly the same way. All of the settings look fine including the firewall setting we needed to make for Win7. Is this software compatible with Win10 or will we need to move onto iTALC's successor, Veyon? Cheers,
  3. How are you guys going backing this data up? Are you relying on the default Microsoft backup settings for SharePoint Online?
  4. Can I be cheeky @GrumbleDook and ask that you DM me too, as I was just pondering the same query a couple of days back.
  5. I may have solved this although it isn't ideal. I've copied our server profile in the Panda console and called the new profile "Veeam Server". I've then created a new computer group called Veeam Server and linked it to the new profile. I've moved the Veeam server into this group. This has allowed me to play with the settings a little more freely. Essentially, I've had to disable all of the product features except for File antivirus. We used to have "Advanced Protection", "Web browsing antivirus" and "Web access control" enabled. If any of these features were enabled, our backup speeds went down the toilet. So not an ideal solution as I would like to have all of the above enabled but at least it's just the one server that has this reduced functionality. It's a trade-off though.
  6. Hello guys and gals, We have noticed an incompatibility when using Veeam 9.5 and Panda AD 360 anti virus. Panda is slowing down the processing rate of all of our B2D and tape jobs. Disabling Panda when the jobs are running allows the jobs to run at their usual speed. Is anyone else using both of these products on the same server? I've added in the exclusions that Veeam recommend as per the following kb article but they don't seem to make a difference. - https://www.veeam.com/kb1999 Any ideas?
  7. Interesting. I might slowly start adding these to a prevention list, however I'm not sure if we inadvertently use any of these executables. They don't ring a bell with me. @Arthur have you added them to a blocklist yet or have you just noticed this blogpost? Has there been any issues?
  8. We're on filter 11 and we've been down for the past ten minutes or so.
  9. Yeah the connection issues tonight seem to have been caused by the filtering maintenance. I spoke to an engineer 20 minutes ago.
  10. Regarding PoE compatibility. If your current switches only run at PoE/802.3af and you need to upgrade to 802.3at for your WAPs (or any other PoE device for that matter), you could use a midpsan device that will upgrade the power. The midspan will sit between both the switch and the WAP. It will upgrade the power to the newer standard at the same time as passing the data backwards and forwards. https://www.microsemi.com/product-directory/rack-mountable-midspans/4798-pd-9024-pd-9012-pd-9006
  11. I've checked the O365 admin console to see if there are any advisories surrounding this issue but I can't see any. There seems to be a spike in O365 issues reported on downdetector.co.uk at the moment.
  12. Yes. We've been seeing that issue this morning too. I've just added in 8.8.8.8 and it appears to be working again.
  13. Whoa there! One step at a time
  14. SB told me this afternoon that filter 12 had fallen over which meant filter11 was down. They said it was a child filter to filter 11. I also thought that they had made a config change but it appears that they haven't, or at least, not the config change we thought they had.
  15. Why is it always filter 11? I believe that filter's 12 and 13 are a subset of filter11 so if one of those two fail, so does filter 11. Who is on any of the other filters? (i.e. not 11, 12 or 13). If you are on a different set of filters, does your filter ever fail?
  16. We received the email too. Not sure who to believe. Dear me...
  17. I wouldn't have thought so as YouTube uses HTML5, not Flash.
  18. Hi Arthur. Where is the Block Flash activation in Office Documents policy within the ADMX templates. I can't seem to find it by manually searching or via a Google search. It'll just be me being thick though!
  19. We use it but we just use the web version. I couldn't see any difference in terms of functionality (even the GUI looks the same). Therefore we decided just to stick with the web client. I also don't need to update the web client.
  20. I'm a network manager however looking at some of the modules I think that I may be able to benefit from it too. Especially the last couple of modules.
