we seem be be having a few problems with staff being able to download documents. The drives are mapping fine and you can browse them ok, but when you double click it says unable to find the file. Hello All, How does your HR Department handle your Annual Leave records? Our School is still using paper records which tend to not be accurate and always have to be queried. We used to use an intranet based web app called Incorpex back in 2003 which was brilliant but for some mad reason the school decided not to use it and it doesn't appear to be available now. We use E1 and Fronter but I don't think these have the ability to record staff annual leave. Can any one recommend anything, ideally i would like certain staff (HR, Line Manager, Head) to have to use it to authorise anything. Thanks, Michael

icttechsupport is an AD group. Does it it need to be specified in the top section of the web.config file? Michael

I'm finally feeling like this can be rolled out to staff, but I want to add some drives that can only be seen by us. Do I just need to add our Group ICTTechSupport to in the web.config and/or somewhere else. Can I then do this? As currently its not working. Thanks, Michael

We purchase ours from mt-electronics.com. We've got a school account even thought it's meant to be trade only. It seems that they are importers of sumvision goods to the UK. We get these for a about £1.30ish. They have a mininum spend of £200 pounds when ordering, but we buy about 40 and get a bulk load of CD & DVD media as they're pricing is fantastic. They have a load of weird gadgets that you can chuck on to bump up the total. I remember that they were selling the digital photo frames for a fiver before they became popular. Michael

We had a sub station built on site a couple of summers ago. Our power was switched off for 2 weeks while they swapped it. We had massive diesel generators running, 1 for our server room and 1 for another part of the building. It just meant that we had some time to do maintenance on the servers.

I'm looking to upgrade ours to v5.4.5 but im unsure what version i'm currently on. Is there anyway to tell wether we're on 5.3.x or 5.4.x? Thanks, Michael

Seems to be Be* DNS Server playing up.. Been having a few problems with other sites for the last week. Switching to Google's DNS Servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 seem to fix the problems with this site and the others. Mike

Hello All, I've been reading the thread about bulk setting the owner of user home directories http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/28452-mass-setting-owner-home-directories.html as i need to enforce staff quota as some are taking the micky.... I can't seem to get for /d %%i in (*) do subinacl /errorlog=subinacl.err /file %%i /setowner=%%i to work. I have subinacl installed but how do I run the code above?? I've tried creating a bat file in the root folder but nothing... Our Home Folders are in the following structure I:\UserHome\THGG\Staff\username I:\UserHome\THGG\Student\Year7 I:\UserHome\THGG\Student\Year8 etc Can someone shed some light as my googling powers are failing me?? I can highly recommend the Oxygen Rom by AdamG on xda. XDA Developers I'm using the latest RC6 Gingerbread build. Is a ASOP rom so no bloat. Everything works great except for Video Recording. Video recording will be fixed when Nexus1 get the Gingerbread OTA update as some video libs are needed from the build. Michael
