I've rebooked it or shall I say my instructor has done it for me, I hope a cancellation comes up as it's nearly two months away!

I really hope I pass 2nd time, it's so expensive, the test fee and fees for my instructor etc. Nothing like actually running a motor of course but I can manage that.

He was going pretty fast in my defence, I thought it was safer to mover since the right hand lane was free... fair enough I should of moved back over straight away.

I dont think there was actually anything wrong with what I did, I actually pulled over into the right hand lane simply because the guy behind me in his rover 25 with big bore exhaust was screaming along, must of been doing 50 at least so I moved over, I needed left at the round about so I moved back over once he'd passed and it was a good 30-40 yards before the roundabout that I moved over and went left. My instructor who was on the test with me was gob smacked!! Oh well - bring on the next test!

Hi all, took my practical test yesterday.. 2 minors on my sheet, and 1 serious which I failed for. The examiner told me I'd failed for the following "Turning right from the central reservation into the right hand lane, you failed because you didnt move over into the left hand lane" 2 faults on my sheet!!!! Dammit that's the best fail I've ever seen!!!! I got a fault for reverse parking into a bay, the tip of my Exhaust slightly touched the high raised curb, and apparently observation on that manoeuvre, which wasnt serious I just needed another shoulder check before straightening up. What a gutting day!!

I think the lack of reply may be that he is indeed now without Internet!

Windows 7 I reckon is the "next" Windows XP - it's as reliable! And as easy to use! I think XP definitely set the benchmark for 7.... I'm hoping 7 will be around as long as XP has been.

Have you Called BT Direct ? If it wont authenticate is the link actually up and useable ? - THis is why an engineer might visit to make sure the link is actually working.

I have some good memories of XP, to getting our first XP machines in the first school I ever worked in... to recieve the machines and then have to wipe them with the RM CC2.4 Windows 98 SE Image To then moving to a college were every machine was XP, built with ZENWorks, and managed by Netware 6. Fond Memories. Including Office 2003 too. Server 2003 for me also, some good memories, having started out on NT4, then upgrading that to 2000, I then went to work at said college who had a couple of 2003 servers and we also used 2003 for training new teccies. The first CC3 network I worked on was also Server 2003 based. Good times.

Yes they are the only provider in the city of Hull. We have no other suppliers as KC have the monopoly, although I Say that the company I work for has put its own network in the ground, and we supply business customers - and we dont touch KC's network and have got our own feeds from another supplier.. We've taken some big customers on board so now Businesses in the area have a choice aslong as they are not far off our network.

Your getting riped off.... at least you can pick any other supplier you want - I'm paying £50 a month just for phone and broadband (upto 9 meg).. not including my sky subscription... (Just for TV) as we can't have any other broadband.

I have KC and it costs me a fortune per month, but then... KC is all I can have!! upto 9Meg service 350GB a month Bandwdith Unlimited calls during the week and free mobile minutes of 100 minutes. £50 a month. No TV offering

Shouldnt be any problem with NIC drivers as the Watchguards are either Broadcom or Realtek..... both fully supported by FreeBSD.. @ChrisH which Watchguard did you get ?

Hi all, I need to build a Pfsense appliance. A Watchguard would be ideal, but check this out!! LinITX.com - LinITX ALIX 2D3 LX800 (3NIC+USB) pfSense Firewall Kit Bit too pricey for me though and Watchguards are better spec. Has anyone got a spare Watchguard kicking around they don't want ??? As above, just change your DNS settings, We don't have DHCP running on any Windows servers, all done on the routers and we have the DC's serving DNS, just point your clients to the DC for DNS and away you go.
