  1. The site works and then after a time dosn't. Tried another Proxy server that seems to work and then have the same problem. I just want to find out who's problem it is, ours, theirs or a combination. Added to this is that home users with customized browsers are having problems as well and the site owners just say get them to use IE7 or Firefox. FFS these are home users who want to browse the way they want to.
  2. Just setup the query and it says its fetching results. How long does this usualy take?
  3. How would i do that? Am a total ISA novice
  4. Anyone help me out here as out LEA guru who used to look after our ISA/Websence server has left and i now have a problem that i am struggling with. School has purchased an online report writing solution. Staff are getting Network Access errors Code 10061 sometimes when they are trying to write reports in school. Full error as follows; Network Access Message: The Page cannot be displayed Explanation: The Web server refused the connection. Try the following: Refresh Page Check Speeling Access from a link Contact website Technical Information (for support personnel) Error Code 10061: Connection refused Background: The server you are attempting to access has refused the connection with the gateway. This usually results from trying to connect to a service that is inactive on the server. Server: our server Source: Remote server I have spoken to the people who own the site who claim that the other 100+ schools that use their services don't have a problem. It looks to me that their is some kind of time out between our ISA server and their reports server. How/Where can i check on our ISA server what the connection time limit is set to? Any pointers much appreciated as when i googled it there wasn't much help

  10. It is in fact possible to electrocute someone through a badly installed Cat 5 cable. Your cable will pass through many different zones wired with different electrical phases and has the potential to give 415 Volts if betwen phase. In any one phase before earth you have the potential 215 Volt not probable though. The thing you have to bear in mind is the testing of you cable to ensure it is complient to standards. Otherwise you may not be getting the through put that you think. Have you a calibrated Fluke tester to test your cable? And don't forget your cable has to be low smoke zero haligon, the purple stuff but watch out for fakes.
  11. At my last school durning the summer holidays the playing fields got taken over by a flock of Geese. Poo everywhere. Overherd in the staff room one day:- PE Teacher "I don't understand how they get in when the gates are locked!!!!!!"

  16. Nice pupil comes into office with a plainly broken pen drive. Only problem is that all of his course work is on it and nowhere else. Little bit of cable and solder did the trick. Cheers Stu
  17. I had contractors working ovr night once who heard footsteps along a corridor that stopped. When they went to look there was nothing there. Also we have footage of orbs on CCTV. At my last school there was a murder in the grounds and the caretaker is convinced that there is something odd in the Rosler Block (the murder was outside this block)

I've tried to follow the instructions (very vague) but the existing workstations don't auto update or anything and if i try and do a manual install it takes forever and then fails as some Solid Works components don't install. Any practical experience/advice would be most welcome.
