  1. If your doing it yourself then CAT5e as CAT6 has to be run like fibre so is more difficult to install.

  5. At my last school a flock of geese used to take up residence during the summer hols, doing their 'business' all over the playing fields. The new lady head of PE said in the staff room "i don't understand how they get in when the gates are locked"
  6. Yes heard this from an Oldham Techie that i met with today
  7. For all you two wheeled warriors out there, this is for your information. To use a British waterways tow path out side of London you MAY need a Cycling Permit (Free) Follow this link for more information - Download a British Waterways cycling permit | Cycling | Things to do | Waterscape.com
  8. They say that there buying power is greater then other suppliers so give you a choice of hardware/software for the school to purchase as part of the spend on BSF
  9. Dosn't that remind you of BSF and Choice Fund Catalogues (sp)
  10. If it going to effectivly kill BSF then how is that going to affect those LEA's/Schools that have signed along the dotted line but may be waiting 3+ years for a build to start. What happens to the staff who are on the Tupe list?
  11. What happens to schools that have signed on the dotted line for BSF. Will they be able to get out of it and at what cost?
  12. We isolated it in 2 and 1/2 days through some damn hard work. What concerned me was that as far as i was aware we were all patched up as per advice from Microsoft. Still got in on a pen from someone who's dad worked for the NHS and whose work laptop had it.

    North West News Today

  18. Bit of a pre amble here. New Deputy comes in the office today and asks if it possible to put messages on pupils desktops such as "Art course work due in today" or "Well done 8S for winning the form 5 a side", that sort of thing. It occurs to me that this is possible either by buying software or possibly scripting but my question is do any of you do something similar and if so what do you use. Thanks in advance (i hope)
