1. Don't kow if this is of any help but we are using this here. Online Python Tutor - Learn programming by visualizing code execution
2. For anyone that needs this I gave up using office365 to relay my helpdesk email. I signed up for an account with ReachMail and it works flawlessly!
3. Ah ok, cheers Nick!
4. Must my helpdesk account be an Office365 admin account? And what role should be assigned? Sorry about this nick!
5. Hmm.. I have that enabled. Still getting that error. I can log a ticket as myself and it emails properly but when i create a ticket as someone else it throws that error.
6. Hi Nick, Does HAP support TLS encryption? From what I can find O365 needs TLS to authenticate to send mail.
7. All sorts of posts on the net about this like this: Sending An Email Via An Exchange Server - C# | Dream.In.Code I'm stuck!
8. OK, I now get: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was 5.7.1 Client does not have permission to send as this sender. I know that I need to set SendAs in Office365 as I have for one user, my helpdesk account. Is there any way to grant SendAs to my all staff security group in O365?
9. Ohh, I only get this in my section of my hapconfig. Am I ok to copy and paste yours in and change it to my environment? I should add, this is a V9.7 install.
10. Hi @nickbro, I am trying to set up the Helpdesk emailing and have come to a standstill. If I log in as a test user and create a ticket I get "The parameter address cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: Address". This still logs the ticket, which is fine. If I log in as me and close the ticket the email goes to the test user saying i've closed the ticket, which is expected behaviour. Any ideas on this? Do I need to allow my [email protected] SendAs rights to all users? I'm so confused on this one. TIA
11. Doesnt help at all but not at all here. Connects great all the time. 37Mbps FTTC from Exa

13. The only way staff can access SIMS externally here is via our RDS farm but in your situation how does the SIMS and FMS client connect to their databases externally? EDIT: Just seen all the previous posts, ignore my last!
14. Ive just spent 10 minutes playing that thing! Urghh soo much to do!
15. All I've done is flip our HAP install upside down, head finds it halarious!
16. We are a middle school and taking delivery on Wednesday! Will update here with the teachers views.
17. Hmm.. Having just taught them all to use OWA I'll stick to that. I will probably roll out Outlook client to them over the coming months on an individual basis. It learn em not to send / receive so many attachments!
18. No, we are using OWA as we wanted to have a uniform experience across all devices. Plus none of our staff (bar SLT which do) have 'dedicated' machines.
19. I have just ran a mini training session with a teacher on Office 365 and was asked a question which I couldn't answer! "How do I download all attachments at once?" - "It would seem you can't!" Really M$? Do you guys know if Office 365 / OWA has this simple feature? Thanks
20. Are you going to be hosting these servers on seperate hosts? As if there is a fault on the host both servers will fail. Also MS have RD Connection Broker to load balance between servers as part of the RDS install.
21. Sorry, hadn't seen an update to this thread. Yes, it deletes the respective reg keys too and it runs here perfectly from the server.
22. Faster boot and logins here was sped up dramatically by using SSD's on our machines!
