1. Apple = "Re-Inventing" someone else's tech!
2. So it would appear iOS 7.1 has been released but im sure ive seen this "New" caller display on my Samsung before Apple?
3. Take it one step at a time at the moment, it sounds mostly like a proxy issue.
4. Do you use a proxy? have you told the PC to use the proxy if so? can you ping google.com for example? If it replies but you cannot browse then i'd suggest your DNS is having a wobbly.
5. Hi Nick, I have moved my HAP install to another server and all is working well however whenever anyone accesses the Helpdesk they get "String was not recognised as a valid DateTime". The helpdesk still functions but the error throws staff off. Can you help? Cheers.
6. You mean this bug? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gPHKzaO0io&feature=youtube_gdata_player
7. Turns out it was the SSL VPN on our new router! Changed the listening port to 444 and all is well. Cheers for your help @computer_expert !
8. Its a proper SSL cert from Comodo, all works perfectly internally. If I try to go to https://EXTERNALIP:443/hap I get "Page not available". I am moving HAP to a new server now anyway will update soon.
9. When I go to https://EXTERNALIP:444 I get "This web page is not available" in Chrome. When I go to https://EXTERNALIP:443 I get "SSL Connection Error" in Chrome so I assume it can see something?
10. Yes, its the internal routers IP.
11. I have turned off Windows Firewall as part of my endless troubleshooting route.
12. After having our new broadband put in I'm trying to get HAP on the internet. I have port 443 of our external IP forwarding to port 443 of our internal web server and all I get is "This page cannot be displayed". Anyone have any suggestions for a struggling geek?
13. Yeah thats it! We are nearly at capacity as is but we are due to extend soon. The lease time is currently at 24 hours.
14. We've just had our lovely new boradband installed but i've noticed recently we are low on IP's and ideally I want to separate out server and printer ranges. We are currently running on the old LA provided range (255.255.255.0) but can move onto a new one now. Just realised I've hijacked the thread, perhaps I should go start my own! Apologies OP
15. So any clients picking up an IP on the new range will register in DNS ok, providing the servers are all ok first? Also will I have to change my subnet mask?
16. I'll be doing this soon, cheers for the list. Does this have any adverse effect on DNS?
17. Never installed 8 from scratch here but have you checked what SATA mode your BIOS is in? IDE, AHCI etc? I'm sure it has to be AHCI.
18. I 'copied' the admin account and used my own credentials then moved it to its own OU. the Administrator account is locked in a safe, never used but for emergencies (I forget my password)
19. No problem at all. I panicked when it had gone, its one of my favourite bits of software, even though its ancient!
20. I'll zip it and send it to you. I suggest you remove your personal email too!
21. Did you get my email?
22. Intstant on both Chrome and IE9 here
23. PM me your email
