    I'd back up any configuration / data and nuke the VM then reinstall. Seems like a lot of work but I'm my opinion the only way to ensure all traces are removed.

    This is saying that you need to share the folder G:\SOLUS3\UpdateRepository with the share name UpdateRepository$. Doing so shouldn't interfere with SIMS in any way. As always, help given is used entirely at your own risk.

    Its simple enough using Mail Flow rules to stop receiving the messages from @xbox.com or whatever their domain is but I'm unsure about blocking its use to sign up / into Xbox live.

    This was the reasoning I used when we moved over.

    We used to but when the list was found in a pupils bag we put a stop to this. Now the children have permission to change their password and the teachers have access to a piece of software to change them if needed.

    I dont like the way Windows Updates work on 2k12. Has it installed updates and is trying to reboot?

    It's a school network yes but a staff login provides access to the behaviour tracking system, the room booking system, confidential SEN information in the staff shared areas or the teachers my docs. If they gain access to SIMS then goodness knows what could happen.

    I agree with Elsiegee40. We enforce at least 8 characters, numbers and symbols for both Staff and Students. We also set an account lockout after 3 attempts. Passwords are the weakest part of any network, don't weaken it further.

    I use the FSRM method with no login speed issues by I may use this instead.
