  1. I have the moviemaker exe if you need it. Works ok on win10 but not tried with win11
  2. So support remoted in to fix it but the answer was really simple when you think about it. The problem was the third party services on the server like Groupcall, Inventry, Parentmail, Wonde that needed stopping before the patch would install. I don't know which service was causing the patch to fail as they stopped as many as they could before using SOLUS3 agent to install the patch but it worked first time then just restart the stopped services again.
  3. Thanks, our sims support has already given me those instructions but it didn't work so I was thinking of renaming the sims folder and reinstalling but didn't want to make things worse. Anyway, I've got the sims support remoting in later today so I'll see how they fix it.
  4. I set Solus3 to install the Consolidated Workstation Patch 2 last week and on the whole it went well but the sims server failed to install the patch. The first part of the patch installs but the second part fails saying one or more errors occurred. Solus3 agent keeps trying to install but each time it fails. On the server Sims is showing 7.216.22.0 whereas all other machines show Sims as 7.216.22.2. No errors are listed in event viewer. Any advice please?
  5. Thanks everyone. With the OAT hold set to off it seems better today but like others have said it needs looking at and adjusting. I was speaking with a site manager at another school and he said they have the controls serviced not just the boilers and pumps. This school enquired about the control service but thought better of it when they seen the cost. It's just cost cutting but the school will pay more in the long run.
  6. I think the OAT is set incorrectly as switching this to on has shut the boilers off. I’ve googled OAT hold off but there isn’t much info on it.
  7. Not sure about flow temp but both space temp setpoints have been reached so heating should go off. I don't normally have anything to do with these controls so bit lost as to what should it be set to but playing with OAT hold off setting and changing that to on the boilers go off. Not clear at all! @Andrew_C I've already said they need to get the controls serviced which I understand is different to having the boilers serviced but my advice falls on deaf ears. The gas saving would pay for this many times over.
  8. Has anyone got experience of building heating controls? The reason I ask is because it's like a oven in the school and the site team are having problems controling the heating so I thought I would throw this out there. Looking at the image the system is calling for heat but the internal temperature has already exceeded the set point. Can anyone see what the problem is?
  9. Thanks for the reply but I've tried that plus I've given the user all permissions but still the same error. I'm beginning to think the problem was caused by the firmware update I did last year and looking at the Hikvision site that firmware has been withdrawn (V4.74.200 build 230522). The latest firmware is V4.31.530_240113 and it is timetabled to be installed over half term. This is the error in question and appears when opening the download page or clicking search on said download page.
  10. The download location is setup correctly it’s when you’re at the playback screen and click the download button (bottom right). The search window will open then you get the error and also when you click the search button. Both NVRs we have are showing the same error. It could be because I updated the firmware last year. HT doesn’t use it that much so may have not noticed until now
  11. I made the HT a guest logon for the NVR when it was installed 6 years ago so he could look at the cameras and download video, all was working well until he tried to download a video of an incident and was met with a no permission error when opening the download window. Live viewing or playback all work fine just downloading the videos that give the error. I've been testing different permissions a user can have to see if it was that but no change and even when I made a new opperator with all the permissions ticked they still get a no permission error when trying download. My logon is admin and can download fine but I'm reluctant to share that with the HT if at all possible. The NVR is DS-7616NI-K2 running firmware V4.74.200 build 230522. Thanks
  12. For us it’s only the suite and staff laptops that can run W11 as all the other machines are either core 2 duo, 2nd or 3rd gen.
  13. The current doorbell we have was here when we brought the house and is a classic 70s style with two vertical hanging pipes. It has a mains transformer under the stairs and makes a mellow ding-dong sound. Had a quick look at Swann and Eufy but both look good although Eufy is more advanced. Thanks for the recommendations I will definitely be looking more closely at all of them because deciding. Finely, as said earlier my car was broken into over the weekend. They took a multimeter from the glovebox and a few pound of change from the centre console but they didn’t think to eject the CD from the radio otherwise they would have made off with my ABBA gold CD [emoji3]
  14. Last weekend my car was broken into so I thought I would look at getting a camera doorbell. There seems two makes that are popular, Ring and Blink, and both owed by Amazon. The reviews for Blink are mixed whereas the only bad reviews for Ring are about the ongoing subscription costs. Of course I want to spend as little as possible but after the initial purchase the subscription costs could mount up if I’m not careful. Would you recommend one over the other and why. Thanks. I should add I have a old fashioned doorbell at the moment so power is already there.
  15. From what I can gather Word needs to be setup for booklets before adding text and there are templates for this but saving as PDF and using Acrobat to print in booklet does the job, just a shame Word cannot do this without using Acrobat.
  16. Yes, this is the way they ended up printing it.
  17. The office has been trying to print a Word document into a booklet format and are having problems with pages not in the correct order and pages upside down so have asked me to help but despite my best efforts I concede failure. The document is set in Word as A4 and prints fine double sided on A4 but they want folded booklet style which is where the problems start. I understand from Youtube the paper size and style should be set before adding anything to the document but that’s too late now. Any ideas what the settings need to be to get the document to print into booklets? As a workaround I have told them to save the document as PDF and print that as a booklet which seems to work but it would be good if it could be printed direct from Word.
  18. Although we use PrimarySite to host our website we still use Nominet as domain registrar and Couldflare as DNS host

    SIMS ID

    Right, thanks
  20. Jobos

    SIMS ID

We have a local hosted SIMS and I'm looking into setting up SIMS Next Gen. In the guide it says I need to logon to id.sims.co.uk using a SIMS ID administrator account and enable DeX services but the problem is we don't appear to have a SIMS ID account. We pay a company for SIMS support and the SIMS licence so is it likely they are the only ones to have the SIMS ID logon for our school?
  21. Update: I've updated the student policy and can confirm it works and no sign-in prompt appear. It a user setting at Administrative Templates/Google/Google Chrome/Browser sign in settings
  22. Thanks both, I thought that might be the case.
  23. Bought the APC Smart-UPS 1000 back in 2021 and it's been working fine with no problems whatsoever. Now the warranty is ending in May do other schools renew the warranty or go on without one and if you did renew what sort of cost was it? Thanks.
  24. That's interesting. Is there a way to copy over bookmarks from chrome without user interaction?
  25. That's just it, they don't have a Google login in the first place so we would still get the prompt.
