Following the greatness that was Edugeek @ Microsoft, wondering if anyone is headed up to London for the Insight event on Friday. After getting the lowdown on EES - going to hassle them about that as well as Netgear for switching stuff. If anyone is about for it - how about a couple of EduDrinks the evening before, or the evening of as well. I know food/drink is included - but be rude not to make a full evening of it!

Midlands being on the mainline to both the Preston and wherever southwest wards event. We are trying to accomodate those who are usually stopped by the high travel costs. For eg, its £80 best travel to london, and then has to involve two nights @ min £50 pn. At least by placing the meets in locations which are on main routes within day travel for those who cant get the funds for overnight should increase the member meets abilities

We did wonder whether ZH and EduTech had got arrested last night after they couldnt make the last 300yrds back to the hotel from the shop round the corner!

There was a large amount drunk that night (and the night before) - although the funniest bit had to be the twitter flame wars that started! How many members could get stitched up (myself included!)... so so funny, and the after effects continued today! @Dos_Box... shall we discuss the toilet incident?? LOL And dont get me started on EduTech's driving - we were nearly 2 members down, one of whom has only just taken up his permanent EduGeek role.

@GShaw there are two models with 365 - the as is LiveEdu - exchange, skydrive et al; and the full sharepoint option which is costable (and there are increasing levels of functionality/products included on a rising cost scale. Full slides to follow

MSOffice a legacy app?! Since when? The cross browser cross platform support and integration with your existing network via AD or ADFS makes it a powerful choice imho

Interesting. I still have to say that the full integration of Office Web Apps and Sharepoint is awesome though. Still my preference. Live in browser multi user editing.

OK - I know SP1 is now out - but in case you havent applied it yet, and arent going too - watch out for these two... Note - These are supposed to be rolled into SP1, supposed to be! This issue occurs because an auto-start service remains in the pending mode for too long and cannot start during the Windows startup process.
