  1. It's been bad all week - they did say they are looking into it. I did notice some engineers not only at our local green cab, but around where I live - green cabs next to schools lot's of engineers.
  2. You must have a huge griddle.
  3. Useful for dinner parties. I like this from King of the Hill: Bobby: "What happens when somone asks for well done?" Hank: "We ask them politely, but firmly to leave(!)"
  4. Ah! Thankyou. A remember years ago it was in the config file for the web app. Now my Facility Controller will not connect. Dang I miss SIMs
  5. For the 8th year in a row I've forgotten how to do this. Help!
  6. Terminal Services as an admin will also force a console session log off
  7. Paper copy to be signed goes out each September. I have a pre login message that appears after Ctrl+Alt+Del but before each login stating that if staff click OK and login then they agree with the terms of the AUP
  8. I've been re-watching some classic and new Who whilst stuck in my chair (damn surgical recovery) and The Eleventh Hour was far better than Deep Breath. Moffat does seem to blow hot and cold. Although it's all well and good I think they need to turn down the ManlyTears on the regenerations. In classic Who it was simply a need to change the actor, change of direction everyone's happy. Now they turn them into hour long "make-the-kiddies-cry" which they really don't need to do. Still you can't beat the fantastic acting and filming angles during the 5th to 6th change!
  9. No idea, but when you set it in GPP you need to ensure the dotted line under the setting is green and not red. Found that out quickly enough. If memory serves put the settings in, hit F5, turns green, save.
  10. Anyone else irked by the appearance of Matt Smith at the end? I can't figure out if it's Colin-Baker-ism or ageism. Either the Beeb are scared of another Colin Baker backlash over a dark doctor, or are fearful that after four pretty boys (McGann, Ecclestone, Tennant and Smith) that the young 'uns will turn off from an "old man" playing the part. It felt shoe horned in. No previous incarnation has warned his companion about the coming regeneration and plenty had time to do so. Surely Rose would have benefited more from this between 9 and 10 than Clara - the girl who's interacted with all of the Doctor's incarnations!
  11. Second best I had was a 1970's Vac wet and dry. It was invincible. Finally had to get rid of it when the missus wanted a "modern" machine. Worst thing I ever did. Was useful with the old car for sucking water up off the carpets when the door seals started to perish.
  12. I'll cherish my Henry for as long as he lasts. We've tried God know's how many hoovers, even a specific pet hair one, and nothing works better than a Henry. It's also good as the caretaker let's me borrow the hoover bags!
  13. More importantly who could play Avon now?
  14. Anyone else have a bank vault full of tier 0.5, 1 and 2 gear?
  15. Yep I was a day one player, and I would agree it died a death after WOLK. The year or so after everyone started LK raiding and the, ugh, Panda expansion was great. The end game content - even for non-raiders - was fantastic. TBH the game is too big now - take a secondary skill such as cooking. With a new character it'll take yonks to level that skill - you'll end up spending days doing the BC dailies, then the LK dailies etc. They need to strip it down, or just re-launch LK. That was fantastic.
  16. Anyone here still play? My old guild disbanded years ago - and I get bored playing solo. Currently Horde, but I have got a free faction change sitting on my account from a scroll of resurrection cast about 4 years ago! Just looking for a social/dungeoning guild.
  17. Who next? Gordon the Gopher?
  18. "What's the difference between the Cub scouts & the Army? EEEERRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNT! Cub Scouts don't have heavy artillery."
  19. Well they said watch the fuel pump, if the fuse goes again I'll need a new one. Going to take it in for a service shortly. £40 for the flatbed hire - (Birmingham Vehicle Recovery - Car Transport - Car Towing Company) and then £5 + VAT for the part at the garage - no labour cost!
  20. Blown fuse for fuel pump. £5!!!! FFS!
  21. Can't hear the pump, then again I can't remember ever hearing the pump and it is in a noisy car park. Got some guys towing it to my local garage some time between now and the end of time, who'll take a look. Last time this happened it was the battery - and I do remember that the internal lights and the radio still worked - which surprised me. Could be there's not enough juice to start it. In all probability it's the fuel pump that's just gone. Or knowing my luck the fuse that controls the fuel pump and all of this is caused by a 50p bit of metal. This annoys me greatly. When people have silly simple problems wrong with their PC I always think why don't they just mess around with one and learn. Same thing with a car. When something goes wrong we really should be able to spend some time figuring it out. With modern cars there isn't much you can break yourself. I keep meaning to get a cheap banger, pull it apart and learn how it all works. Then I don't, and I get annoyed with myself when this happens.
  22. Fuel cut off - not cut off. Not surprised! £20 for a tow to a garage of my choice - decent pricing and good work rather than one of the breakdown companies choice = expensive. It has probably worked out cheaper this way than having the correct breakdown cover in the first place! Obviously breaking down in a free, open cark park within spitting distance of your house, having access to a "spare" car and it being the summer holidays so I can pop in and out of work at whim does make things much easier!
  23. Tried it this morning and no dice. Going back over later to find the fuel pump cut off switch - last gasp attempt at doing it myself. You never know.
  24. Tried that - they get the postcode some how.
  25. Running fine. Had the damn coil pack replaced same time as the plug. Last time the coil went - you knew. Misfiring like crazy. This time - nothing running smooth as always. Can't tow now, edict from the mother in law. Can borrow car, if no towing involved. I'd rather have a guaranteed car for a while. Going to leave it overnight and see what happens.
