I have an odd issue which is causing massive printer issues. On all the computers our one and only Ricoh copier / printer is listed twice in the printers list. The one that works is listed as printer name / server which is must be the one deployed from our GPO server, but it also lists another which is named only with the printer name (no server) and when someone tries to print to this the job goes directly to the Ricoh printer and blocks all other jobs, the only way to get everything working is to delete the job from the printer itself. It's as though the Ricoh printer is pushing out it's own connection across our network. Does anyone have a fix for this?

don't think this is bad if you are syspreping before deploying

Had a raid drive go down on an old dell power edge 2900 server. I have found the same drive online but it's going to take a week to come out. A friend says he has a spare but it's 15K and the one in my server is 15k.5 Does the .5 make a difference?

Hi all, Just had a raid drive flashing amber on an old Dell Power Edge 2900 (no hot swap drive installed) I have pulled the drive out so I can order a new one, but have realized the server does not have Dell Open Manage installed. Just went to the dell website and it lists 53 downloads under Systems Management with a lot named Dell Open Manage. Which download do I need to get into the raid config. Also, should I put the faulty drive back while the new one gets sent out?

OK I have worked through both those links. A couple of the items I can't do as DNS does not even open on the faulty server but I did everything else. Still can't access DNS. Looks like it has been an issue for a while, but I have only recently realized as I only visit the school for a morning every other week. No They all look good to me but I am no DNS wizard. All IP's look correct and it even lists the faulty server in DNS/properties/name servers as being OK. -

Hello @Roberto I was just about to do as you suggested but now DNS will not even load. error is 'The server is unavailable. As a precaution I have pointed this servers network adapter at our other DC, as the main DNS server, and pointed all clients at our other DNS server using DHCP. The failing server holds all the roles but also all the network shares, DHCP, printers, SQL server etc (this is a primary school) Really hope someone has an idea for getting DNS back up on this server soon.
