Agreed. After looking at that list I thought "anyone fairly young and trying to find a route into work is going to be absolutely buggered". It looks to me like more and more people will be forced out of work, unemployment will rise even further and subsequently there will be more people claiming benefits. (If benefits don't get scrapped as well, that is).

I have exactly the same problem! I've not yet picked up a passport either... I've travelled around a lot but it was all before I was 16 and I simply travelled on my mum's passport. I don't see the point in having a passport when all you ever use it for is travelling and I'm too cheap to pay for a holiday, lol so I wont be needing one any time soon. Whenever I apply for a job or pretty much anything, the amount of other documents which I have to hand over is ridiculous. Drivers License, Birth Certificate, bills, more bills, other ID cards, argh!

There really does need to be some kind of audit trail, especially when it comes to behaviour records. Numerous schools who I have dealt with have had this exact issue and it's very difficult to prove anything. I don't really know that much about SQL or how it works as I'm just a basic "dabble when you need to" person but if the files aren't deleted automatically and are only flagged for deletion at a later tidy up point then it might be possible to retrieve them both with the knowledge of where they are stored and before the tidy up happens. I'm going to have to see if it's possible to test this as I'm intrigued now... find where behaviour incidents are stored, add a new one in the front end of SIMS, check the table(s), delete it from SIMS and check the table(s) again to see if it's gone.

I've got a switch somewhere in storage. It's just that I quite litterally live in one room (bed, sofa, desk all in one rather large room) and I'm trying to keep all cabling which goes all the way round the room to a minimum, the cable for my BT Vision box is just strung across my room hanging in mid air (yes, I do need to buy a longer cable). Of course, if I actually ever turned my Xbox on I might grab my switch and cable it up, it's just another small issue against the console.

I've not commented on this post until now as I really don't understand why so many people choose to mess around when it comes to relationships. It's simple, you either like someone or you dont, the only distinction between that is if you like them as a friend or if you fancy them and want to take it further than just friends. Why would someone mess up a perfectly good relationship by having their best friends baby? Surely it's common sense that a) it's wrong b) you just don't do that and c) going to end the relationship for sure. On the other hand, what was the best friend doing sleeping with her in the first place? It's all a bit ambiguous and it makes no logical sense to me. So, I'm not really sure what to say, there isn't really anything that can be done other than /move on and /next! I just wish that everyone would be honest with their feelings, if you can't at least be honest with yourself then it's a fail. People lie, plot and scheme a lot I've noticed when it comes to relationships, they might be held back by previous bad experiences, having judged the other person before they even really know them and generally throw around numerous other weird and wonderful excuses. Just be true to yourself and everything will be fine... now finding another person who is also true to themselves... that's the problem!

I'm contemplating selling my Xbox 360 elite simply because I never play it any more, it hasn't even been turned on since I finished Tales of Vesperia! I moved house and left it at my parents along with a load of other crud which I didn't really require -4+ months have passed and I've still not picked it up yet. It only ever gets played when a 360 exclusive comes along and to be honest, there aren't many of those around nowadays. I very rarely play online so there isn't any point in me paying for Xbox Live Gold and I really need a console to have wireless nowadays considering that my BT Home Hub only has 4 ports, one of which is used by my BT Vision box, one by my PC, one by my Server and the other one by my PS3 (but only because it lives right next to the hub) so that's all 4 ports gone and I don't really want to keep switching them over. My PS3 on the other hand gets a lot of use, there are a fair few PS3 exclusives which happened to sway me over eventually - I started off with an Xbox and only happened to buy a PS3 mostly out of chance. God of War, Heavy Rain, Demon's Souls, a fair few other JRPG's, PSNetwork games such as flower, fat princess - I'd never really bought anything off of any online stores until those. I dont bum the PS3 or anything like that, it's just over time I've found that my Xbox has gradually been dwindling down to zero use.

How have I missed these? I'm definitely going to have to take a harder look in Tescos tonight... it's strange, I spend most of my time in Tescos down the world foods aisle (where I assume they would be) and it's a ridiculously huge branch (Tescos Purley - if anyone has ever been there you'll know how insane it is!). On the subject of Rice... I'd no idea that leaving Rice out could make you feel rather ill... the other week I had some rice from the takeaway, only managed to eat a small amount of it so I left it on the side for about a day and then decided to stick it in the fridge where it sat for about 5 days until I decided to eat it. It sounds a bit dodgy I know but then again, I ate a piece of cod the week before which once again had been in my fridge for a bit too long and it definitely tasted a bit off.... but I ate it anyway. Excellent immune system for the win I'd say - I don't think I've ever been ill with food poisoning in my life.

Have Capita ever provided a 64bit SQL Express 2005 installer? I'm actually not too sure... I've never seen this file. What is stopping you from installing the 32bit version, does it not work with Server 2008 64bit? Even if you did have the 64bit SQL Express installer, you'd need to install a 32bit instance as SIMS will not work on a 64bit instance. (The last time I tried it anyway). As for renaming an instance, once it's been installed with the given name there isn't any way to change it.

When it comes to transferring Nova T4 files from one server to another, all you really need are the .TDB (teacher database) and the .NVA (Nova) files if I remember correctly. As long as these files are within the SNOVA/Year directory then NT4 will load these up without any issues. I have to agree with Vik here, if you're not using SIMS then there really isn't any point in using Nova T6 as it simply doesn't have the Cover/Reporting (as NT6 holds no student data) functionality which is needed outside of SIMS if you've not got it. Same with Vik, I'd recommend Timetabler - you can download a trial version from their website and have a go (I did that recently and although I haven't really had a chance to play with it much, it seems to be fairly easy to use).

Haha but what kind of woman would actually want an inflatable husband? I certainly wouldn't, it'd take up too much space on my sofa for starters This hype happens every 4 years when the world cup comes along, it's just one of those inevitable things, a bit like Xmas. I don't know why people get annoyed about it and start ranting as you know it's coming and that you'll just have to live with it. Personally I'm not a big fan of football, as with all sports I'd much rather be playing the sport than sitting on my butt watching it. Although I don't let all of this hype get to me, if you're into football then good for you, get out there and go for it! If not, just chill out and continue doing whatever it is that you were doing to start with. There's no need to start an argument.

My Graze box should arrive tomorrow, I like to save my treats for Fridays (for it is the best working day). You're supposed to eat them over the course of the day but I tend to much mine all in one go as by the time I've waited for lunch and then walked home to pick it up and then back to work, I'm really hungry. Some of the food included is absolutely awesome, I had a punnet with some dried physallis in the other week - they were so tangy and nice it was unbelievable, I've been trying to find somewhere which sells them on their own but I've not had any luck yet. I've also been trying to reverse engineer some of the foods, I've had at least 2 attempts at Korean chilli crackers already and each time I've ended up with a splodge of spicy rice which whilst it tastes ok... wasn't exactly what I intended! I can't find a recipie online either, does anyone have a recipie or know roughly how they are made?

I bet SchoolComms aren't too happy about that! It sounds like Capita are trying to hog the market if you ask me, why attempt to fix what isn't broken?

I'm contemplating giving this a go.. Amahi and I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. I'll be using my old dinousaur of a PC as a server as I've decided that I really want more functionality than just a NAS box, I like the look of Windows home server, simply because it looks fairly easy to maintain... I could install Server 2003 on the machine but it'd have to install a vast array of apps for it to do what I wanted. This seems to have everything built in and it's Linux so it's not only free but hopefully should also be more secure than anything Windows based. I'm ok with using Linux, not the best but I can plod along fairly ok in terminal.

Passed both my theory and practical first time 5yrs ago now and I'm still crash free! (I'm not sure how though, some of the 5 way intersections around here are insane and as someone once told me once "statistics will get you eventually"). The best way to learn to drive is firstly with a patient instructor, no angry morons and then when you're fairly confident, get insured for a month on the biggest car possible. Everyone laughed at me in college when I was driving my mum's estate.... but if you can drive that and park it, you can drive anything.

I'm a lazy luncher as well. I tend to buy whatever is on offer at Tescos, this week it was buy one get one free cucumber so I've been eating mostly ryvita with cucumber. It takes 5mins to make, if that, chop cucumber, butter ryvita, mash two together. Yesterday I was extremely lazy and couldn't be arsed to even chop the cucumber so I spread some marmalade on the ryvita instead, lol. Other cheap & quick lunches include, those swedish biscuits + tuna/chicken/fish paste, couscous, cup of soup, toast. Same here.

I've never bothered with it, never needed it, I've always usually had a fairly cheap phone so if I do lose it, it's not the end of the world. Saying that though, I've never lost one nor had one stolen even when I was at school when mobiles were fairly new as I tend to keep my phone on me at all times.

I wore shorts to work today, smart shorts only to be slightly stumped as it's not *that* warm. Whilst it isn't cold either, tis a bit too windy for shorts, the grey clouds have been lingering around here all day, there has been no sun (thank heck) we're still dry down here in saaarf London.

Back in the old days... when I only had 3 devices which connected to the internet I used to call my PC's Melchior, Balthasar and Caspar - the names of the 3 wise men I still have those floating around although they have been joined by a bunch of random ones recently as my naming convention is failing, my PS3 is blackstormclaw, I've got an old laptop which is known as (rude word here)sandwich and numerous other devices floating round which I can't even remember what they're called.

So true! every 6 weeks or so you have to do something different as the body simply adapts and becomes used to each exercise that you've been doing. I always try and keep it varied, when something gets a bit too easy, you know it's time to up and change the game.

As far as I know, SIMS.net does not have an audit trail of changes which users make. The only option I can think of, if you know roughly when the data disappeared would be to check the access log in System Manager so at least then you can see who logged on during the period which you're looking at, you can also filter by what permissions a user has so that might help to narrow it down too.

Sounds like a good idea to me... if I actually get let out of the office to go to BETT!
