  4. So looking at vlans as we are now moving away from our ISDN30 line And now need to make a jump to vlans I don’t want to create a vlan for everything just want to keep it simple And wondered what other schools do, I presume it’s going to be along the same lines But I’m thinking - as a starter Vlan10_Voip Vlan20_GuestWifi Vlan30_Staff Vlan40_Pupils Vlan50_MainWifi (or something of that description) I’m trying get a lot of design work done before I implement this, before “any gotcha” issue come up. Any suggestions would be appreciated
  5. we have some huawei devices AGR-W09 with Android Version 10 i was wondering if / hoping that someone has used these devices before, we are struggling getting the device to use the SSL Cert that i have installed for web traffic, these devices wasn't purchased by us, more of a "here you go, get theses to work" i was looking at maybe some sort of MDM device but im just not sure that these devices are upto the job. any help would be much appreciated
  6. https://www.altaro.com/hyper-v/hyper-v-replica-replication-work/
  7. I see...well hyper-v isn’t server / application aware aware as such and won’t move the VMs in the event of a failure...at least I’m not aware of said feature. However clustering is and is the most preferred way of having that redundancy. You use preferred host to which the VM moves to in the event of a failure if that helps?
  8. If you want redundancy then go with clustering
  9. Why do you want to use replication?
  10. Same here we use pea soup, really good can’t complain and support is extremely good.
  11. Personally I would let nature takes its course from my understanding you can run the dfsrmig /GetMigrationState which should give you an idea where each dc is at https://judeperera.wordpress.com/2019/03/19/sysvol-migration-from-frs-to-dfsr-step-by-step/
  12. This utility will give you a good over view of any replication issues within your forest / domain https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30005
  13. You not wrong lol I will have a look thanks
