I used to use Ergo and they were OK, had some issues that never got resolved but then moved over to Very PC and never looked back! Very PC's well made, well priced and support is out of this world, for example is I have a PC with a faulty hard drive, Very PC as more than willing to send me the replacement drive (if I'm happy to do it myself) rather than play phone tennis or have to send the unit back. Get a quote from Very PC!

I've got a load of Windows 7 x64 drivers but they are over 1gb, if you have know where I can upload them I'd be happy to share.

I've now got the BIOS upgrade (1.40) that will allow you to turn off SecureBoot and change the BIOS from UEFI to CSM booting. This has allowed me to boot and install Windows 7 onto my NB10T. This came direct from someone high-up in Toshiba UK Education, I will more than happily post my findings when I get the toolkit at the end of the month.

I spoke to Toshiba about this last week, they are 'unofficially' going to produce a toolkit (BIOS update to unlock SecureBoot + Windows 7 Drivers) they should be ready by the end of the month.

I would say go with anything but SLG, it's a very painful platform and as previously mentioned the SLG updates are always problematic.

I love ServiceDesk Plus, well worth the costs.

Check out Spinrite (http://www.grc.com) a fantastic tool if the problem is corruption. Ontrack are a good company to use, another is a company in the Midlands called Disklabs (RAID Data Recovery and Computer Forensics by Disklabs)

Achandler - I totally agree that the problem is a staff one and if staff didn't walk off with other users equipment 'by accident' there would be no issues.

John - I would love to be able to have a fixed wall controller in each room, unfortunately we have over 80 rooms and the costs would be too high, plus there are issues regarding anything being fastened to the wall (political) Sted - That's exactly what I'm talking about but do you know know of a remote that supports this as many of these only have the necessary programming for TV's DVD etc. and not projectors. (I know you can train these remotes but I don't really want to train 180 remotes)

Unfortunately we have 2 makes of projectors in our school, Casio and Promethean (Badged up Sanyo's) and it's awkward for staff to have 2 remote controls, does anyone know if there is such as thing as a switchable universal projector remote control? We have got some universal projector remote controls as we were unable to purchase some Casio remotes and while you can reprogram this remote from one type to another it's awkward to do, what I would love it the same sort of remote but one that has 2 'modes' so it can be switched from one state to another without having to reprogram it. Does such a thing exist?

We used to have Policy Central but everyone eventually got fed up with is causing crashes and slowing the performance that we moved over to Securus.

I agree that's one of the annoying 'features' of Sophos Enterprise Manager - I would love to see the progress of clients and also improved reporting.

LOL - granted that was a major PITA but all virus vendors make mistakes (McAfee being the worst in my experience) and Sophos did react quickly.

We use Sophos and love it.

I'm also getting this problem and once I've logged in and put the tick back in place the netbooks work OK for a while until it happens again. I've kept a log of which netbooks are effected and out of the 90 odd ones it can be anyone at anytime. We are also using Toshiba's but a mixture of NB200's and NB300's but they all have Atheros AR9285 wireless network cards running the driver version 7.7.0.233 (13/02/2009) I've just upgraded the drivers on 10 of my netbooks to the latest driver on Toshiba's website 7.7.0.406 (30/10/2009) and I will monitor these to see if they also have the same problem.

Hi sukh Yes the user is internal. Yes - I've tried a new profile and have the same result - the issue is not just me but for anyone who sends this person an email. Yes - I've cleared down the local cache etc.

I've a strange email address problem in Exchange 2007. I have a problem that whenever I email a particular user I get a “Mail delivery failed” message straight back but from the user’s old Yahoo account. I’ve checked the delivery forward options within Exchange 2007 and it’s blank (no forwarder set) I’ve checked the user’s local Outlook rules and still no forwarding rule. I’ve checked for a contact with this email address and found nothing. I’ve done a check via the Exchange Management Shell and Get-Mailbox –Identity and found nothing. I’ve searched Active Directory via a Custom Search and LDAP query (proxyaddresses=smtp:[email protected]) and still found nothing! I cannot think of anywhere else to look, anyone offer any advice?

I'm looking at a couple of Galaxy Tabs and the lack of proxy support has put and end that that idea - shame
