We have Office 365 A1 for faculty and Office 365 A1 for students but want to upgrade to Azure Active Directory Premium P1 to access some of the features P1 would give me. Can anyone tell me how many prem P1 licenses I would need? if there is only 1 technical member of staff? Would I need one for each faculty? or do I just need the 1 license for the 1 person who would need to be accessing Azure to use what the additional Prem P1 license would provide? or do I need P1 liceses for all faculty and students?

I agree. I know that the OP wanted a free product but I couldn't imagine life without PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory.

I know that you can block specific file types from being synced down to a local machine if you are using Microsoft's sync tool, but if there a way to stop students uploading specific files, for example .exe's to their OneDrive from home?

We have some applications that just won't work on 64-bit systems, we are moving away from them but we need replacement laptops first.

I'm looking to replace a number of my school's laptops but I need them to be able to run 32-bit Windows 7, I've looked at a couple of models but they don't support 32-bit Windows 7, only the 64-bit flavour. Specification wise I'm looking around the following: 32-bit Windows 7 driver support 4Gb memory 250 Gb HDD 11.6" screen (touch if possible) Intel Celeron or i3 CPU I did buy some Lenovo Yoga 11E's and they are perfect for the role but the model I bought is now end of life and the latest version has now 32-bit Windows 7 support. Does anyone have any advice?

I've just setup HAP (great product btw) and it's been working great in testing until now Now when a user logs in (using the correct username/password) the site hangs - I can see that the 'waiting for xxxxx site' is displayed in the tab title but the logon process goes no further, If I stop, and then refresh the web page, the user is logged in! If the user enter an incorrect password, I instantly get the 'incorrect password' box so I can presume that authentication is working.

You could try blocking known unauthorised devices? (long winded I know but maybe worth a try and might stop other students from connecting if their peers can't connect.) Export the list of MAC addresses (Monitor -> Wireless Clients) sort by STATUS so that UNAUTHORISED are at the top, click EXPORT CSV. Pop the CSV into Excel and filter it so it just shows the UNAUTHORISED MAC addresses and then save that. Configuration -> Access Control -> L2 Access Control -> Create New. Give it a name and IMPORT CSV (you can download an example CSV file from here as well - nice touch) Configuration -> WLANS and select your BYOD/Guest Wlan Expand ADVANCED OPTIONS and then next to L2 Access Control, you should see the L2 Access Control list you created in the previous step. This will prevent any device in the list from even connecting onto your WLAN, so it won't be able to get a DHCP lease. I believe that there is a limit to the number of MAC addresses within an L2 ACL but I don't know what it is. Obviously, if you get an issue with an approved client not being able to connect, check the L2 ACL list for their MAC address.

I believe that you get a certain amount for storage for free and then they charge more for more space you use, to us the cost wasn't an issue, it's far easier for Firefly to manage to hosting, backup etc. than for us to have yet another server to manage.

We use the cloud based version of Firefly and we have no complaints.
