I don't think its needed. Being able to put the school logo/badge to click on to sign in would be better imo or an image for home computers.

the reason I ask is that my friend at another school has been told it is classed as a "weapon" as it has a knife built into it so is not allowed to bring his onto site anymore.

Hi Guys, I currently have a leatherman multitool that I use around school for many small jobs when I don't have any tools handy. I was just wondering does anyone else use one? allowed to use one? any schools that have banned them? I sometimes wonder when carrying mine around if it is okay or not! Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave it a go and got the image uploaded okay. However, when I go to deploy the image It does the exact same thing as my first problem. Must be something on the machine the FOG Server does not like.

Ano, unfortunatly there is no funding for new machines (as always!) so we are trying to do the best we can with what we have! We are using PATA HDDs could try SATA. Irritable Tech, would that work? Thought it might scew up the NIC drivers. Cheers.

We have some DC7600 as well that it works well on, however its the D530 SFF that it wont work on.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have updated the Kernal to the newest one, however still no joy. Its an older HP machine, cant remember the model off the top of my head but its about 4 years old I think.

Hi, I am trying to upload an image from a HP Compaq machine onto our FOG server. This is working with other machines in the school (RM Machines) however when I try and upload an image from this type of machine it does its usual stuff.... loading fog/kernelbzImage ...... loading fog/images/init.gz................................................................................. ................................................................................................................................ ................................................................................................................................ ................................................................................................................................ ........................................ready. Then the machines seems to go into standby. The monitor goes blank, USB goes to sleep and It will just sit there until i physically press and hold the power button to switch it off. Anyone got any ideas why this is? I have to build tons of these machines and its going to be a pain having to do it by hand! Cheers.

Hi, We use Italc to monitor classrooms over the network. However it will crash randomly without warning. It seems to hold onto the processor and slows the machine down. Does anyone if there is any reason why it keeps crashing or is there a newer version?? Thanks

Hi, I know that there is a thread on this already but there is no real solution on there. We use a program called Browse Control to block websites. Is there anyone who uses this software and can help me block igoogle but not google? Thanks!
