  1. Ok if nobody knows the answer to this then how about me using a .htaccess to filter by group ? Is this possible? I can do the winbinf bit etc, it would just be the htaccess I would need some guidance on.
  2. I have GLPI working on one of my Ubuntu servers with full NTLM. I want to make it so it only accepts one user group though. My current apache config is PerlAuthenHandler Apache2::AuthenNTLM AuthType ntlm, basic AuthName GLPI require valid-user PerlAddVar ntdomain "DOMAIN DC1 DC2" PerlSetVar defaultdomain DOMAIN PerlSetVar splitdomainprefix 1 PerlSetVar ntlmdebug 2 PerlSetVar ntlmauthoritative off PerlsetVar basicauth off Currently this authenticates everyone. I am not sure if what I want is possible with this method as I have tried alsorts of directive lines for groups. Any ideas? tia Chris
  3. I havent played those. All the stuff I play is what used to be available in the arcades. Of course I own all the original ROMs....

    Left4Dead

Very tempting... I wonder how well it will work under wine though. Probably not to good with my PC spec.
  5. I will bear it in mind next time as long as you dont get dont have the reaction that some suppliers have had when quoting against them lol. Talk about spitting the dummy out. Ps they supply resellers as well so that gives you an idea of the pricing.
  6. I am a total HP convert these days. I am getting unbelievable pricing these days on their equipment and if you can tie it in with their rebate scheme, even better! If you want a number of a very good HP reseller let me know. I have yet to have anyone beat him on HP prices (apart from printers).

    Windows 7

I know it's only a pre release but can we refrain from talk of getting MS products through unofficial channels please. I have edited several posts.
  8. Well if I ever have a house with a room that would lend to that setup I would definitely be building one. I already have a full size arcade cabinet in my garage
  9. Had a good go at the NVidia driver last night but it seems I will just have to wait for the new version according to the release notes. Also in some cases you have to specifically define your GFX cards BusID if you have more than one in the xorg.conf. Oh and my webcam works in everything but Skype grrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Check this out, absolute genius! Games + Beer + DIY = Win | Team Teabag! - Home of the Latest Gaming, Technology, and Gadget News, Reviews, and Previews.
  11. I have cleaned it all up. Did a load earlier as well. Its all gone and I have banned their accounts. It is definately worth reporting spam as it sends and email to a mod/admin.
  12. There are plenty of settings that disallow them to get at the C: drive in group policy. I have these set and they cant get at it through explorer or the windows api. As for browsing using office I think there is something in the office adm files so you can set a gpo but I think also because of the way that it calls the IE API in IE6 they can still get round it. This is fixed in IE7 I believe. There has been topics on this before so please have a good search.
  13. Having played lots of the modern games in the last 10 years including Half-life, TFC, TF2, Day of Defeat and all manner of single and online multiplayer games I find myself going back back to the more basic games. All I play these days is the old arcade games on my arcade machine in the garage. Never mind this HDR stuff! Give me a good scrolling beat em up or After burner any day. I have a few thousand games to go at as well so theres something for every mood.
  14. Have a separate list for students and staff. This is usually done to stop students sending email to all the staff.
  15. I have it but I didn't read your original post about ESXi which is what I have been experimenting with. I am currently playing with the backup script on the VMware forums for backing up using VI Remote.
  16. I was looking for the 1.6 you mentioned. That links to 1.1.5 is this correct? Looks like I definately need 1.6 as there is no vmrun in this version. edit 2! Now I have read your post carefully and other documentation this isnt going to do what I wanted as I will mostly be working with ESXi. Serves me right for not reading carefully enough but I will keep my eye on it for future developments.
  17. I have been looking at this today and couldnt find the VIX 1.6 API. There doesnt seem to be a download link and topics on their forums are no help. There doesnt seem to be much positivity about backing up ESX either but I want to see that for myself .
  18. The above is the main awkward one for the hotkeys. The rest just disable the right click options which is also good.
  19. I would of been at least tempted to try it if I had gone out for it I know 10 mins would of ended up an hour though probably.
  20. They will take anything, even if it doesnt work. They will strip it all down to scrap metal if needs be.
  21. I was tempted to order that until it came up at £31.99! That MS Press price territory!

    Help!

What no spares in the cupboard?
  23. It was the heaviest book with the smallest footprint I could get my hands on We did this after having the kids got sick leaning on the printer when they needed print outs
  24. We had the same lid problem with a similar printer and ended up weighting it down with a bible
  25. That was brilliant, it had me in rolling around almost as much as Brian Blessed on have I got news for you. (The only two things that have made me consistantly laugh this year)
