  1. Our LEA does do safesearch as well on their upstream but I plucked this from the web filter log so I assumed this was recorded prior to it being sent out. This is indeed somebody just going to google's front page and typing in bood sugar.
  2. My Network Guardian is modifying URLs for safe search which is normal but google is slowing to a crawl. When I examine the URL it looks like this: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=blood+sugar+&meta=&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=active&safe=vss&safe=a Which cant be right. It also has a code 302. Any ideas?
  3. Come on you should know better than this. No warez/illegal downloads etc. Thread locked
  4. That looks great thanks. I was expecting it to be part of a policy but that would be too easy . My Google skills failed me earlier on this one it seems
  5. Ok my brain isnt working it's too late in the day. I need to unblock .xml files so we can email exported marksheets to staff. Most staff use OWA and I know how to fix a local copy of Outlook but I cant find where I would do it system wide in the exchange policies. Somebody put me out of my misery. tia Chris
  6. Proxy settings are per user.
  7. Sounds like a group policy issue and proxy settings rather than a CN problem.
  8. Do you mean for it to appear on the menu or for it to run? For it to run properly you need to set macro security to medium or make it trusted. If its not there put them in the Class Teacher group and that should give them minimal permissions to do tasks like that.
  9. I think he is talking about the TS Server and not the client. You would need a third party load balancer or use Citrix. Not sure about the new 2008 offerings.
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. Thanks thats great
  12. I will be interested to know the answer to this as I am thinking of a new user defined field and I would like to report on it.
  13. We have a lot of radio stuff on our roofs although its being phased out. They are probably bothered about lightning etc. I think somebody got a shock from some dodgey electrics as well.
  14. Hmm I wouldnt have thought so these days. Maybe 5 years ago. Still theres always those that dont keep up with the times.
  15. I removed your vote.
  16. This was mentioned last year as well. Ours is not earthed and when I mentioned it to a visiting engineer he didnt know what I was on about .
  17. I wonder if they will subsidise the extra licencing though ?
  18. Mind you this would all be easier if Capita sorted it out .
  19. Hmm interesting. What kind of overheads would that be on performance though? I am interested as we are going this route ourselves soon.
  20. Its as they say I am afraid. 64 bit can emulate 32 bit and 32 bit can emulate 16 bit but 64 cant do 16. The only way to do it would be to use a 32 bit server OS but then you wont be able to use all the nice ram that will be in the machine therefore impacting performance. You may end up needing 2 servers for what that 1 does now.
  21. Happy Birthday
  22. Hmm CMIS in lancs thats the first one I have heard of. Mind you it's Blackburn the local authority set up is different there.
  23. I got one as well and the controller went after 1 week grrr. Oh well lets see how long this one lasts .
  24. PC world charges about £25 just to fit a GFX card
  25. Get some code that queries members of the group then with that list create folders.
