  1. Where do you get this agent from ?
  2. Don't bother trying to use OUs as a source under assignments for rule sets as it just doesn't work! Stick to using groups.
  3. I have just added our AD as an authentication source and thought I'd share my experience since I am behind a firewall. I used a 1:1 NAT entry and just opened port 636 which is the secure LDAP port. The LS wiki entry is here The steps I took are: Administration > Add Authentication Source Type: Active Directory Name: AD Source (Only seen in the admin panel) Description: AD Source (Only seen in the admin panel) Friendly Name : Network log on (This is seen on the webpage for logging in) Server Hostname: 111.111.111.111 (Replace with the CLEO valid IP that you have mapped to your DC) Domain: schooldomain (This is the single label domain and not the FQDN eg schooldomain.local) Base DN: ou=schoolusers,dc=schooldomain,dc=local (This is the path to the OU that you want to get your user information from, you can get away with dc=schooldomain,dc=local but not advisable ) Administrator Account: schooldomain\normaluser (This does not need to be an admin account, it only needs to be a normal account to query your AD) password: accountpassword Password Confirmation: accountpassword Encrypt Connection: (This is ticked to use secure LDAP port 636) Once this is done you can use the test button. It will add the domain so use the format user and not domain\user. Hopefully this should save someone a bit of time. Whether or not this kind of set up will work with the auto login client I don't know. See other posts regarding using this source for your users. You will need to tick Available to End Users on the authentication source btw.
  4. If you only have the VHD(X) file you can just add it to a new VM but you will need to set the IP address again. I have had to do that a few times. Other ways as described above are more desirable, but it's not the end of the world if have to do it the way you described.
  5. Are you using HP universal drivers ?
  6. This is from my MDT customsettings.ini but I would imagine the values are the same SkipLocaleSelection=YES KeyboardLocale=0809:00000809 UserLocale=en-GB UILanguage=en-GB SkipTimeZone=YES TimeZoneName=GMT Standard Time
  7. Our SIMS server is 2012 R2 and there has been no issues.
  8. I think this would be handled under auditing and something that looked for changes in the log.
  9. I saw that on one or two that bypass our local proxy and I hadn't reconfigured. They did give plenty of warning though I think they actually said it would go off last Friday.
  10. You would have software restrictions on user and shared areas etc. Use some kind of tool like USBDLM to make sure the USB drives are the same letters on all machines and apply the restrictions to them as well.
  11. I got hold of a Watchguard for this reason but was put off with an issue with the NIC drivers at the time, not sure if they have fixed that yet.
  12. You need to check for the existence first before you run your deletion code. You would need to use on error resume next and check the error number for success. There are plenty of examples if you search for this kind of process.

    CCNA

I did the old CCNA syllabus last year and there was still mistakes in it !
  14. I've had that with the exact same printer. It doesn't seem to happen much these days but it used to happen all the time, the only thing I have changed is the print server it's hosted on and I can't say I have noticed it recently. Not much help sorry but yours is not the only case of this !
  15. Our reports are pretty fast at the moment, only taking a few seconds to compile.
  16. At a guess you would have to go to administration and add an authentication source of local database but I bet this would either break everything completely or mean everyone will have to log on with the username and password. Either way I probably wouldn't attempt it at this stage.
  17. I've had one for ages as well and mostly use it on my TV in the garage to have Netflix or YouTube videos on the big screen while I'm tinkering with my bike or doing some other project. I have also used it a lot to cast a Chrome tab from my main PC but the lack of being able to do that with my Nexus has been annoying. Plex will be a welcome addition.
  18. The county list wont be synchronised with the master list.
  19. Gah I forgot about Lexia !
  20. If you want them to be treated separately you will need to put the folders on different volumes as you have already guessed, this will then give you the flexibility you require. On one of my servers I have: f:\ = Students g:\ = Staff h:\ = shared areas I have f: and G in one protection group and h: in another.
  21. Funnily enough download.com is not filtered ! Also after further experimentation it seems it only 7 zip is filtered and other items are available so it's not as bad as I thought.
  22. I have never had any issues with sourceforge in all the time I have been using it and it hosts many popular projects such as 7 zip etc, so for me it's essential to have access to these different projects.
  23. I thought I would make a new thread for more general filtering issues such as kent.dl.sourceforge.net (or any other download mirror) not being reclassified which means we can't download from sourceforge. You can request a reclassification at Take A Look Inside Our Internet Filter and Antivirus Databases - Lightspeed Systems if the site is in a locked category. I will check first thing tomorrow to see if anything has changed otherwise....
  24. You have to submit the request yourself to: Take A Look Inside Our Internet Filter and Antivirus Databases - Lightspeed Systems I can't tell if that means it has been changed or it's saying check it later and if it hasn't we haven't approved it .
  25. Well it's as I thought; if a site is in a locked category it cannot be unlocked. You have to submit a request to LightSpeed to get it recategorised ! downloads.sourceforge.net is classed as computers.filehosting but kent.dl.sourceforge.net (or any other mirror) is categorised as security.virus and as such is locked.
