Looks like your already not signed up. However, I signed up for prime thinking it was a free trial and it was not - I just cancelled it and Amazon refunded me the money (minus what I had used for a next day delivery)

Network Managers & ICT Techs in Secondary Schools & Academies: Dress Code?
mole replied to Weller1968's topic in General Chat
Logo'd bad fitting short sleeved shirt, black. Black trousers, dark shoes/trainers. black belt if worn. long sleeved shirt - sleeves can be rolled up if doing manual work but must be unrolled straight after. Work trousers were provided but no one wears them after we decided we looked like clowns - they were really wide legged. -
Me in too! DUFF!

AV and IT - How to integrate and separate the two within one department?
mole replied to GregACC's topic in General Chat
I am an AV tech, in a team of 12. We also have 3 AV design and maintainance guys who spec the rooms (and get contractors in to install) and maintain, upgrade the systems. all of us are under student support services. IT is separate, which I think is a big mistake - everything we do involves some sort of IT input/network input and /or reliance and we should be working closely together. In our supported rooms we look after the IT to a certain extent (re-image,check network conectivity) and are responsible for everything else - ip cameras, projectors, audio, av racks-switchers,scalers,hearing loops, dsp etc etc..., video conference equipment, recording equipment. everything else - servers, internet, network, accounts etc etc is IT/Networks/application support. I suppose it all depends on how much AV equipment/demand there is to support anyway, job title - AV Developer, ? -

Well I tried making a Ladybird, took 4.5 hours last night but finally finished it. Won't be making anymore all that cutting out, bending and sticking gave me a headache that could only be cured with lager.

Hmmmm, pretty sure my wifes not had this problem, my two were 1 and 2.5 and they could go to the same play groups. Anyway she asked on facebook - local groups good info from people who belong to "buy, sell, free" facebook sites, church groups (not religious but just held there) Starting your own creche/group "may" pose some H&S, insurance issues - i don't know though. Our local surestart centre had quite a few groups also.
