Am I missing a setting somewhere, or does your first ship just handle like a dog? Trying to do the training missions but they're taking forever because even if I pull all the way back on the stick, it'll take a good 30 seconds to do one vertical rotation. By that point, the ship I'm chasing has looped round and gone the other side of me! Really frustrating.

What are you trying to achieve? I have tried using If statements with Word and SIMS and they don't seem to work - the field doesn't appear to ever get updated. However, if you just want to display a different word dependent on the number entered, you can do so with a gradeset (that's what we do). So you'd set up a gradeset in SIMS for effort, set the grades 1 through to 5, then in the "description" box you type the text you want displayed on reports. Finally, when you add the result to your report, just choose "Result Description" rather than "Result".

Rather than the server doing all the work of building the page then sending the formatted data back to the client, all the server needs to send is a bit of raw data (smaller, quicker download) and the client builds the page itself. Trade off is it takes more CPU power on the client end, but this is quicker on the majority of devices than the time taken downloading the formatted page would have been, particularly on mobile connections.

I have found my gifts have decreased at the same rate my workload has increased; when I had spare time to go out and talk to people, lots of gifts! Now I have very little time to talk to people due to workload, no gifts.

Samsung have demonstrated glasses-free 3D, but there was a limit of about 7 people who could watch at one time, as that's the maximum number of faces the TV could track. Haven't seen one in action myself, but it works on the same principle a the 3DS. I'm hoping it's much better than a 3DS though, those things are murder on your eyes if you don't have near perfect vision. Also wondering how the face tracking will cope in low light situations, such as lights out for movie night, presumably they'll have to use infrared or something similar...

I agree actually - most of those games anyone with a passing interest in gaming could have guessed, hardly need to be a "game nerd" to score highly

I got 14/15 - annoyingly I thought one was a trick question when it wasn't (the font made me think it was something else). Another I was unsure of at first, then noticed the publisher's name in the bottom right corner

Dudley (and parts of Tipton) is beyond an accent, it's like a foreign language! I'm from Wolverhampton, just a couple of miles down the road from Dudley, and I really struggle to understand people from there at times. My aunt's husband has a really thick Dudley accent; I don't think I've ever managed to hold a conversation with him because I genuinely have no idea what he's talking about!

@CAM - I've felt like career direction is an issue too, however having been to a couple of tech events lately, it was clear that the big tech companies are really interested in what kind of data analysis they can produce - usually for marketing of course! So management of "big data" is somewhere I could see this roll feeding nicely in to...

My "Steambox" is really just a Windows machine with a custom UI. In order to set it up, I had to use Windows proper - it was totally unreadable at 4K! I dropped the resolution while I was in Windows. If you use something like XBMC for your media playback, you can set the playback resolution independently, so you could have Windows in 1080p for readability, then your games and movies in 4K when wanted.

Are you sure about those? Just because you can put them in 4K resolution, doesn't make them true 4K. For that, the textures need to be 4K quality. I've actually played both Tomb Raider and Arkham Origins in 4K resolution, and neither of them looked true 4K to me.

Quite possibly - GTA V is the only one I heard advertising the fact though as a bonus to buying the PC version

I have a Panasonic TX-40AX630B and I have to say, I've been impressed overall. However, for the price (£700), I could have got an amazing HD TV - there is still quite a premium on UHD. In terms of features and picture quality, I reckon UHD cost me about an extra £150 - £200. I don't intend to buy another TV for 10 years though so opted to go UHD now so I have it later; if you'll upgrade again in less than 6 years, you'll get a better TV for your money if you ignore 4K for now. Plus the games aren't there yet - GTA V is the first I've heard of that's going to be truly 4K (you can upscale most games to 4K but that doesn't mean the textures will be 4K) and as nothing but the very top end GPUs can handle that yet, I reckon it's going to be a couple more years before 4K becomes a regular thing in games. All speculation of course

Depends what you plan to do - I have a 760 and it's not up to 4K gaming (well, you can, but at hugely reduced settings; it actually looks better in 1080p!). Will handle 4K video no sweat though

I know it's not solid gold, I meant that if it was solid gold, then the price of that gold probably still wouldn't cover the cost of the cable - it'll only weigh a couple of grams. If you want to be facetious, it definitely isn't 97% silver and 3% gold anyway - otherwise it'd just be a lump of metal

The weight of the entire cable in solid gold would probably not cover it's selling price!
