Nope. I see that there's something in there but definitely no movement. The camera's backlight self adjusts a couple of times, sometimes allowing you to see more in the gap and sometimes less, is that what you mean? Up to you to believe/disbelieve it anyway, but an actual person hiding in a hole in my house is much creepier to me than a potential ghost...

I'll let someone else recommend a HDD, all I'm saying is that personally, I don't think the performance boost you'll get from that SSHD is worth the extra cost. As an OS drive, you'd see some improvement (which is why I used one where budget won't allow for an SSD as the OS drive), but for Steam, apart from the client loading a bit quicker I doubt you'd see much difference.

RAID makes sense as does SSD, but I'd seriously consider dropping the SSHD in favour of a decent HDD if it's for Steam. The SSD part acts as a cache, so learns which files you access most over time and loads them from SSD instead to give a performance boost. As you'll be playing games, if you play one or two games regulalry, they'll get their core files cached and Steam client will too, however I doubt you'll see any noticeable performance boost from that... Your choice of course I've put SSHDs in machines where I couldn't afford an SSD in the budget, but I'd never bother with one unless it was down to budget constraints personally

It does need "burning in", but once it's done it's supposed to be great. If it's not for the new build though I wouldn't worry too much - once the 360 starts getting RROD, I doubt it'll last long enough afterwards to warrant buying really expensive thermal paste

Also, why an SSD and a hybrid? IMO, the performance boost from a hybrid isn't really worth the extra outlay...

I thought we had a ghost in our house a few years ago. It started when one morning, I woke up and at the bottom of the stairs, a bust of Nefertiti (one of my mom's ornaments) was sat, staring up the stairs, and beneath it was a perfectly straight line of glass leading to the back door. Over the coming months, the Nefertiti bust would seem to have moved itself to all sorts of places around the house. I was starting to get a bit freaked out and my mom was ready to burn the thing, then it stopped. 5 years later, my younger brother finally admitted it was him all along, getting up in the middle of the night to mess with us, and confirmed his place as the most dedicated troll I know. (Seriously, a perfectly straight line of broken glass - that's dedication!) There is always a logical explanation.

An alternative route would be to export the template as XML, edit the headings in the export then import it again. Might be slightly quicker than doing it manually, but still not likely as quick as @CAM's suggestion

BTW, if anyone else is looking to do this course, you can save a lot of money by sourcing components elsewhere when possible. I added Farnell's kit to my basket, then picked up whatever I could from BitsBox instead! Some things are a little cheaper at Farnell per item, but beware minimum order sizes! There's a list of what you need on the edX site along with quantities for each.

Yeah that's a lot of time to put in and to be honest, it's unlikely I'll manage that! However, as it's free I plan to download the course materials and work on it in my own sweet time

Only certain players can play BluRay - PowerDVD is probably the best known, but others are available. Remember too that every chip is different - someone could hit 5GHz on their 4790K, you might only get 4.2GHz. As for "software" or "hardware" overclocking, your BIOS is software, it makes no difference if you overclock using it or a piece of software. AFAIK, there's no way to OC your GPU from the BIOS. MSI Afterburner seems to be the most popular way of OC'ing a GPU. The Unigine Heaven tech demo is good for quickly checking how your GPU OC is going - run it at stock, note your score, boost clock speed a little, run again. Keep doing that until you get to a point where you're getting artifacts or other graphical glitches, then roll back to the last stable clock. Same for memory clock. Finally, run a stress test for a few hours - if it doesn't crash and you're not getting glitching (watch it for 5/10 minutes every hour - nobody is going to sit there for 5+ hours watching constantly!) and the temperatures are safe* then you're good to go. Also keep an eye on system temps, as obviously all that heat is in your case so it's not only going to affect your GPU EDIT: final note, do bear in mind that running any component at higher voltages/temperatures/speeds than stock will decrease it's shelf life. Temperature seems to be the biggie here - although I know my card can safely go in to the low 90's, I opt for a lesser OC and lower temps personally.

Got to be honest, I'm with @Arthur here - at the risk of being flamed out of the thread, surely physical fan monitors serve no more purpose than to make your PC look cool? I can understand buying a hardware fan controller if you have a lot of fans in the case to keep in sync, but does anyone ever really go "ooh, fans are at 80%, better boost that up a little!"

When you add your aspects to the template, the last set of options gives you the ability to do exactly that - just select the date range that represents the term in question, then choose which to display, Recent, Highest, Lowest or Median for the date range.

If they're stupidly priced to @Sunnyknight then they're definitely a no-go!
