  2. Is it schools broadband again.....
  3. thanks - but as @bobsmith said, not representing accurate information! a little honesty goes a long way. So what is the process for getting information when there is an issue out to end users? Do we all have to log a call and wait fingers crossed for an answer, whilst hiding in our offices as our end users are shouting Safeguarding issue through the keyhole?
  4. Keeps happening though doesn't it. Where is the page that tells you the services status, I seem to be getting an error on the bookmark I saved?
  5. And now the task starts to find out what software/components we are missing!
  6. Hello, Can someone answer some basic Sims Server set-up type questions. What is Sims Services Manager and how can I tell if it is installed? which default directory should it be in? Where do I get it if it isn't installed? I know it's not running as the Sims Parent App documentation I found states to run "http://localhost:50000" and a screen should appear. Thanks
  7. When running my report to pull the students who's parents need a duplicate report, since my last Data sweep it would seem something/someone has reset all the Pupil report and correspondence field back to default which is blank on screen and false in the report output. On our system only new admission and selected few students (about 10 out of 650) have the fields set. Other students who appeared on my DS2 report are no long showing the fields being ticked (showing on report as T). Previous there was approx 50 Has anyone else got an issues with this? I'm just wanting reassurance that it is a localised incident. Although I'm struggling to work out how to retrieve all the missing data! It is currently logged with Capita. Thanks
  8. DEC/ Digital was and External/Internal thing.
  9. The original Digital Logo was blue before it went that manky maroon colour. I worked for them for 19 years from Digital through Compaq to HP...... and then ended up in a school!
  10. Hello, Is there a way I can edit the find student options to add Curriculum Year Group (Year taught in)? If so how? Thanks Frogwoman ( who should be Sims newbie)
  11. Yup it is - Behaviour, Emotional and Social Difficulty (BESD) having been replaced by Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Editing records accordingly...... Thanks fro all help
  12. Help, I'm new doing the census - I seem to have fixed all the other errors on the dry run but error 2170 is causing me grief. there error action says to do this: "Type Code Error Message Comment/Resolution 2170 A valid SEN Type must be provided for pupils with a SEN Provision = P, K, S or E. Spring return Select Focus | Pupil (or Student) | Special Educational Needs then Search for the required pupil/student. Ensure that a SEN type has been added in the Basic SEN Details panel for all pupil/students with an SEN Status of P, K, S or E. This is achieved by clicking the New button adjacent to the Needs section and selecting a Need Type from the drop-down list, e.g. Moderate Learning Difficulty." The Notes say the Needs must include the "Needs Type(s), Ranking(s) and Start Dates(s) All appeared to be filled in I'm not sure what to change to get the error to go away.
  13. Very PC Thanks for my socks. A nice "pick me up" after the day I had Friday.
