How long have you been working in IT? –25+ years Is this your first, second, third, etc career? Only What other jobs / roles have you done previously? None, always worked in IT, I’ve done many IT roles. How many interviews did it take to get your first job in IT? One Have you ever felt that being female is a help or a hindrance to gaining a job in IT? I know I got my industrial placement based on gender. I then had to prove myself in engineering department. I got taken on full-time at the end of my Poly course, based on merit. Maintaining a Career in IT has been more tricky. I have either been office based working standby and call-out. Or traveling around the country working on projects based on Customer sites, neither of which are child friendly. My partner and I had to make a conscious decision about which one would work and which one would be the “house-person” So here I am 2 children later working in a school, term-time only stopping the brain cells dying (sometimes!). If you were considering IT (or other engineering / programming careers) whilst at school what support did you receive? None we didn’t do computing at school. I opted to do this at college as it was the “new in thing”.

A little trick I've been told is look on the self service - there is more detail than the email responses. You can at least see if it's been passed to 2nd/3rd line support.

FrogLive "was designed" for files stored in Frog not files stored on a shared drive. See other posts for use of Froglive.

Our works, we using the one marked version 17 - I noticed that the widget store has two version neither of which I've bothered using as the version 17 works fine for us. windows 7 ie9 but we used to have CC4 and IE8 and I haven't changed the widget since 25/Jan/2011

It would be so nice to actually have this information from Frog, or even on the multiple tickets I have open on "Frog not so live". Back to the original question. I wouldn't hold out any hope of the document edited by Frog live containing any of the changes you have made. This is a known bug, Also file upload suffers intermittently with not always updating the file. Also a confirmed bug. Only solution we have found if to delete the original document and upload a new one, which is a complete pain if you have links to that document as they break and you have to make them again. All rather poor really, and a complete show stopper with out business admin people.

Can you get the feed to show just attendance? Also are you sure it is showing all quick issue works/assigned lessons (homework)? These are my two issues with the social networking feed.

Good question. I've had this open with support for approx 9months, so don't expect an answer soon. The Pep homework widget is fixed in size. the feed (social networking - with tons of options) does not work when you specify the homework, or attendance seems to just like status updates and wall post. The child feed under pep has no options so it's all or nothing (assuming it works - it's not worked for us for well over a year). I've been told that it may be fixed in the next version - I'll not hold my breathe. I'd been lead to believe that it was only "our school" that had these problems. So has anyone got this working? Sorry to be so doom and gloom.

You need to put each diary brick on a seperate page so two diaries - two pages. Then on a thirds page add the tabbed folder, on the first tab put a scroll frame, and link this to diary page 1 repeat on the second page for diary page 2. (planner button is just link to the diary page.)

Just look at what we have as we have a planners button that links to several diaries which are placed on a different tab on a page containing the tab folder brick. On each tab is a scroll frame - containing web sites and documents, this links to one page with the particular diary details. I hope that helps

HI, My first guess would be timetable widget? Which will only work if you import the data from your MIS and if you are a teacher/student with a timetable. Where are you trying to view the current school week from (meaning which widget)? If you know the page you used to view it from you could go back in the history and see if anything has changed between when you think it was working/broken.

not sure if this will work for you as ours is a link in our portal and this is an alternative method for when things like proxy's are against you! Frog community site you will then get asked to enter your external frog server details, so that it can validate your login - you may be barred from doing this by role/profile settings.

I had much the same problems in September , Compatibility mode was the key for us, then the problems gradually got fixed in the frog version. My toolkit version is currently at 12.04.02. Do you have access to your frogserver toolkit to check you version (it's under the help option)? Also going through the frog community site and looking at the release notes in the support section, might give you a clue as to what was fixed when.

Does anyone have a Linux login to their actual frog server? or is everything done through the toolkit and front end? Just curious as we don't seem to, and I was wondering if new customers got that information. Thanks in Advance Frogwoman

I too have had problem with this version of the extractor. Mine would start wait 30 seconds not get a response back from the sims server and timeout. The upshot of this was I moved the schedule time - once started at 7pm in the evening and not 1am all worked like a charm. Now I know that this looks and sounds very like our sims server is obviouly busy at 1am but I could find nothing and sql logging over several days and various other performance monitoring tools found nothing. The only change on our system was the updated extractor. After weeks of tooing and froing with Frog support I opted for the less stress and easy option and negociated a permanent schedule change time with our internal IT support people. Part of me feels a failure for not getting to the bottom of this, the rational part thinks lifes too short.......

Good luck - and congratulations on it still being open, I'm surprised they haven't reclassified it as a feature request and told you to put it in the ideapad. But as we have all been told several times, they have more staff and it's going to get better. Here's hoping...... And on a more positive note, I've downloaded and installed my Olympic portal

I don't know, you'd have to ask Frog. It's not that difficult after you've been on the Architecture course, and that's only a 1 day!

re Mark. All of this will depend on your set-up it can be achieved by using a seperate profile, which limits them to specific pages, or with groups, but usually it's an all or nothing type senario unless you customise it. I'm with you all on the monitoring and filtering, and general admin side of things, scrolling through chat logs is one of my least favourite jobs, but someone has to do it, as there are not tools to help.
