There isnt actually alot to ePortal in general, its basically a webserver + a socks based data server. I would agree hardware could be the fault, but it's not your fault thier software doesn't work with your server. Kyle

We did this by extracting data from CMIS/AD with a PHP script - the idea was to create every AD user in moodle first, then create the 'courses' as teaching groups, then assign the kids and staff to the courses. PM me if you want any more information. Kyle

We've got an issue like this :- The school cannot hold an ebay account of it's own - due to the la's finance system, we dont have a direct bank account nor any sort of plastic. One of the strict regulations in our Finance Manual states that "employees must not hold funds on behalf of the school" and therefore we can't trade on ebay with the schools equipment; either personally or through the school itself. The idea of the school "chucking the equipment" and then one of us "making a donation" back to the school has been explored - but then the potential backlash that could come makes it not worth the hassle involved. Haven't explored using the PTA - may do that. Kyle

In this house for instance (rewired 20 or so years ago) has a upstairs ring main, a downstairs ring main, a kitchen ring main, and then a seperate 40amp feed for the detached garage. I think you'll find that on newer electrical cabling, it's probablay alot easier. I couldn't see it working at work - we're in SCOLA buildings that went up in 1969 - and probablay still have most of the electrics from then, too. Kyle

One of my lovely primary's is after a small DHCP Appliance - as they have no server. I've looked at ADSL Routers, and a few access point that do it, but they need to be able to set a seperate gateway/dns server... Any thoughts? Kyle
