I think you'll find it's standard conditions for most employeers. For us at least, 37 hour week involves a half hour unpaid lunch break.

Done a server room move, just about done, that was until we turned on our curriculum fileserver on friday after 4 weeks on the floor and it refused to POST... Should just about manage the 'must dos' rather than the 'would like to do'. Kyle

I'd typed that, and then decided to give them the benefit of the doubt..

Have you set up three seperate dns servers? If so, it sounds like thier not replicating with each other.

It was called Pay & Benefits here - I work for a foundation school and therefore we havent heard a thing yet. I think the idea is that a (male or female) Person B in Taunton will responsibilites X Y Z will get the same pay as a male or female person in say, Norfolk. (This of course, excludes london weighting) Kyle

You can deattach the database from Enterpise Manager, move the files, and then reattach it Kyle

We're in the position of:- Loads to do, but theres a huge hole in the outside wall and a large airlock (asbestos tent) where the server room used to be... Kyle

Hiya - did this 18 months ago in at the deep end - Speak to serco and get a login to http://www.sercolearningsupport.com - all the current 2.8 manuals are on there. Chances are what you've listed there is what your licensed for in eportal, theres a whole truck more in Facility itself. Are you missing a login for CMIS itself? CMIS support should be able to help you out with 'injecting' an admin login. Few points to think about * You need to role eportal over for the new year. * Are you ok with exam downloads and timetabling? I've dropped you by work email address in a PM. Drop me a line if you need any help. Kyle

How long has your school had its network?
kylewilliamson replied to sidewinder's topic in General Chat
Imagine we've had a lan for a while - Netware lan up until December 1998 (when i joined the school), and have since had successive versions of ranger - 3.0 on nt4, 4.0 on 2000, 5.0 on 2003 etc in that time - although still the same 'domain'. We certianly had fibre to an outbuilding in 1996. (that fibre was replaced last year, after 10 years loyal service) In terms of infrastructure, the whole backbone's been mostly replaced over the last 3-4 years with multimode fibre. The vast majority of desktop network points have been done at some point in that time too, although in places, there is older cat5. I've been involved since 2002. Kyle -

Hmm, one really crude way is in the student logon script, to look for the machine name, and then reboot it if it's a staff machine.
