  1. PS. Love the microdwellings - why didn't someone show me these earlier in the year!?!? Then I wouldn't have had to put up with my little sister again!
  2. Mattress company just called to confirm I'm not commiting fraud as I was having it delivered to somewhere that wasn't the billing address so I will have a mattress tomorrow... no bed, but hey, I've been waiting to move for over a year now (I'll put up a tent inside if I need to!) Tonight I think a trip to Tesco is gonna be the plan - 3 for £18 is cheaper by volume than a sofa from DFS and if I get completely mashed then I won't mind how comfy it is... Perfect (DFS did give me free wine on Sunday... that's no way to make me commit to something to sit on... I need a reason to come back godammit!)
  3. I get the keys to my new house today! Anyone know where I can get a bed? And some sofas? Shelving? Seriously I have nothing to sit or sleep on...
  4. run away...
  5. Are they connected wirelessly? I'd be looking at the network switch or wireless they are connected to. How many computers is this affecting?
  6. Because we will burn in hell forever and ever and ever... Duh.
  7. There is only one reference to Christ being laid in a manger - everything else is speculation (animals etc) - therefore the 'true' story would be quite dull... Something from the website worshipping the TRUE creator? http://www.venganza.org/
  8. Lots of times - I would replace it if there is plenty of space around the drive.
  9. Seconded - GIMP
  10. Two concerns... 1. Girls Aloud? 2. A Speedtouch Modem?!?! lol
  11. Is there a dialog box when they're logging off?
  12. Ouch... some serious concerns with the kids able to log in as admin... They could install anything! How about a keylogger? Viruses? I'd scrap the teacher/teacher account immediately. Uninstalling AB Tutor is the last thing to worry about!
  13. The fate of many items... LOL!

    Goolge GDrive

'unlimited'? Unlimited like my broadband. I'd love to put this to the test but unfortunately I already know the result... it's a letter from an AUP department then a cancelled service
  15. This morning my filter didn't like a student with the surname Hackett! Previously an excellent student submitted some work for a writing competion to have the work bounced back everytime... ... her surname? Draper. D-RAPE-R... What have you had problems with? Anyone else have a less intelligent filter?
  16. WTF??!? You didn't start sending death threats or something, did you? I agree it's pretty much a dead codec. I install VLC and K-lite Codec Pack which seems to deal with most things. If VLC can't handle it I recommend getting a different version or, on occasion, I'l take the time to convert some resources. Anything that has an 'alternative' has so for a reason... (looking at you Quicktime)
  17. Where did you go Terry?
  18. LOL Sadly, too true...

    iDesk

I've already discussed the issues I've had with bilbo but will list them here - it may ring some bells * Power supplies are hardwired to power button so cannot replace the PSU * DVD/HDD are BOLTED to the metal cassette - nightmare to replace these components * Mini-switches fitted inside our desks are cheap and seem to all fail at the same time... restarting them is a fiddly, finger damaging experience! * The VGA cables supplied were not insulated and the video was quite distorted right from the beginning. This has been resolved with new cables but some of the old cable remains! * The PS2 extension cables are frequently seperated from the kb/mouse * The SINGLE USB port is in a very tight spot and some USB devices don't fit. * We've had 19 (of 40) DVD drives stop working due to a band that opens and closes the drive coming off. These have been replaced with the 'only' drive they can supply - with the same potential problem. ...wouldn't recommend to anyone!
  20. I created a single account and logged them all on with that. The recent update to LanView means I can log on a whole class easily - at the time it was a nightmare... I can then disable it when they're not taking exams Don't make individual accounts... too time consuming...
  21. no prob
  22. IN FACT - they told me that I should have all the computers logged in and setup for the tests ready to go... and this was how these exams are normally run... ...FFS... GRRR
  23. It would have been... too stressed to type that morning! I collapsed in a heap in the corner... Thought that the QCA tests were bad - ALAN took the p@#! Of course, the problems I had a couple of months ago may all now have been ironed out but it sounded far too familiar...
  24. Tried that - was eventually told by tech support that it NEEDED to run from an admin account so setup an exam account... That was a stressful morning!
  25. That is daft. How much is the Securus software? I think we were quoted about £6500 over three years... We're in the same position and trying to sort out a way to stick our own proxy between two LEA managed switches They block porn and 'hacking' sites...
