[sims] SIMS Generic Patches - Urgent Update oin SupportNet
Rawns replied to Rawns's topic in MIS Systems
Its in the News Items list. It was posted today. -
If it applies to you (eg, LA releasing patches to schools), check SupportNet for an urgent update about generic patches!
-
Jon Wood has updated the Technical Roadmap: Items of note include - SOLUS2 support being extended for two more releases (up to Autumn 2014) - Office 2013 support has been pushed back from Autumn 2013 to Spring 2014 - There is no trace of Windows 8.1 on the roadmap. Unsure if it falls under 'Windows 8' support as a whole...

Shut it and buff my port hole soldier!

Had a go on the commander app last night on my iPad (in bed, not on the toilet!). In a way, it's quite cool and it essentially is full commander mode like in game. You can join server via the Battlelog app which is usefulso you can commandon servers mates are on. The annoying bit about it is that you can't use they type chat. Also I could not see who was in which squad so was unable to see which squad @DMcGuigan, @Ghostgame and @CAM were in. You can VOIP to squad leads which is handy, but I have installed mumble on my iPad so can mumble away while commanding. Next time gentlemen, I will be commanding from the toilet.

My EduSig thinks otherwise...
-
Consider me North Korea then. I will observe no ceasefire and stab n tag you if I get the chance again!
-
BF4 running via a browser, running through Origin running through Steam. Sounds like it will work perfectly. Doh! Got fraps installed, did not even think about using it!
-
+1 +1 +1!!! We neeeed this! Also, whats the best way to screenshot in BF4 since there is no screenshot key?
-
Get your non BF4 talk out of here! @CAM, good job on your sig! Also, I need to get hold of that tag!!!
-
He has taken them from me the once.
-
I don't have a grudge with Sunny. I do have 5 of his tags though.
-
Everyone is usually on at varying times between 7 and 11. Some may be on longer though. Check peoples sigs for origin/battlelog details and get adding.
-
Good lad! He took a faceful of my C4 on locker too. BOOOOOM! Good times! I won't bore everyone with more dog tag talk.... Ahhh, who am I kidding?! @Sunnyknight - 5 TIMES! @Domino - Don't bring a gun to a knife fight. Chris (aka: Beetlewatcher) n' Tucker - I'll annoy on mumble later.
-
No limit on spaces. Details are in post number 3. there is also a lot of current banter in this thread: http://www.edugeek.net/search.php?searchid=8276926

Just for you @Sunnyknight, I've updated my sig.

SIMS Summer 2 was released around the end of September I think? It was mainly to introduce the new SIMS Personnel Staff Performance stuff so you may not have upgraded unless you were planning on using it. However there is your fix, either upgrade to Summer 2 (7.153) or go to Capita for a patch.
-
What's the error message that goes with it? Usually, the fault code is useless. It's the error message that can be searched for on SupportNet. Both solutions says it's a patch or a upgrade to Summer 2. Are you on Summer or Summer 2?
-
Kills are all good. Getting close enough to someone so that you can take their tags takes real skill, especially when that someone is a sniper on the other side of the map in enemy territory. 4 times Sunny.....4 times...

Check the Discover database table 'dbo.version' in SQL Management Studio. It will return the version it's currently on as well as the previous versions it's been on. Sounds like your Discover database is not on the latest version. The last row is the current version it's on (In my case 7.152.59.0).
-
7.152 is the latest version of SIMS Discover and is compatible with SIMS Summer 2 (version 7.153). Most of our schools have both and they work fine. Can you post an exert of your log discover log file?
