A fortnightly timetable here, too. Like has been mentioned, allows you to have an odd number of lessons a fortnight. To be honest, I'm surprised there are comprehensives that are able to run a weekly timetable.

I'm thinking of putting my CV on Monster et al. just see see what kind of interest I'd get. I enjoy my current job more often than not, but there's no career progression.

Does anyone have any microscopes that they can recommend? The traditional style would be best as they have a lot of slides that can be used. Cheers.

You can install it on any old hardware, though you're probably going to want gigabit ethernet and a ton of space. By default it runs its own DHCP daemon, which will most likely conflict with whatever you already have set up. In that case, all you have to do is make a few changes to the existing DHCP server so that anything with PXE booting gets pointed at the FOG server. Or unplug the other server when you want to image machines.

We have about 500 kids on roll. 4 ict suites, average 30 machines each. 3 technology rooms with ICT, average 22 machines each. 5 smaller ICT resource rooms, average 8 machines each. 40 classrooms with anything from one to five machines. 20 admin computers. Just me to take care of it all.

I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been covered (don't have time to read it either, unfortunately), but I'm going back to the argument of banning teens from driving at night because they're more likely to have an accident. IMO the reason that teens are more likely to have an accident is due to inexperience of driving at night. By stopping anyone under, say, 25 from driving at night, you're going to push the demographic of the accident group from teenagers to those aged 25+ because that group won't have had any prior experience. The logical flaw with that argument should be obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense.

That looks great. I've read that the top bar varieties don't provide as much honey. How much do you get, and how often, from yours? Our garden is pretty long, but a path runs up the centre to off-road parking at the end. How much activity is there with bees going back and forth? Would they be a nuisance to people?

I have to be honest, I'd love to keep bees. I'm in the process of purchasing my first house which has a nice long garden. I already plan on growing veg and salads, and having a beehive there would be pretty awesome. The top bar hives look easy enough to knock together.

It all depends on how much money you have to spend. Extra memory may give you a little boost, but I don't think it's going to be more than one or two frames per second. I'd put the money on a new graphics card. Take a look at the new nVidia GTX 460 (1GB model). Bests the 5850 and is about £30 cheaper.

Being lazy is a skill. There's nearly always a way to fix a software issue without leaving your chair, meaning you don't waste time and energy on locomotion.

I'm getting a Galaxy S. Massive screen with awesome performance. It has loads of cool stuff too, like Allshare which is a DLNA app to stream to and from compatible devices, as well as acting as a bridge. Codec support includes DivX and h.264.

I think I need another refresher course on appliance testing. Preferably before the holiday period, as that's the only opportunity I get to do it. It's out of the question to do it during term time, and even smaller breaks.
