  1. The all in one PC we produce is based on desktop components most importantly its a standard Micro ATX mainboard meaning you could remove/upgrade this in the future to upgrade the machine to a higher spec while retaining the rest of the machine. The base contains the SFX psu and optical drive while the back of the screen contains the micro atx mainboard (which can also be populated with low profile cards) standard 3.5" hdd etc. As with all these things its horses for courses and this solution gives a slim all in one form factor PC while retaining as many standard desktop components as possible which has its advantages.
  2. Is it only pen drives? Do any other USB devices cause this?
  3. Conservative, they are the only ones that get anything done round here !
  4. Another vote for N95, I should be getting mine real soon.
  5. For a single processor server sure Xeon 3000 would be better than a signle 5100 as you wont need power hungry and hot FB DIMMs, but scaling upwards to dual processor you would need 5000/5100/5300 series. As always its horses for courses!
  6. Umm think you are confused with the 5000 series dempsey chips which are yucky netburst things, 3000 Xeon - For Uniprocessor use and for all intents and purposes are rebadged LGA 775 Core 2 Duo & Core 2 Quad ( X3200 line) (Conroe/Kentsfield core) 65 Watt TDP 5000 Xeon - Netburst type dual core upto 2x processors, if possible get onto 5100 series (Dempsey core) 95 Watt TDP 5100 Xeon - Core based dual core upto 2x processors, (Woodcrest core) 50 - 80 Watt TDP 5300 Xeon - Core based quad core upto 2x processors, (Clovertown core) 80 - 120 Watt TDP 5100 Series are a good choice

    Staff Laptop Spec's

GMA 950 is ok for Aero but I would try and get a Core 2 Duo T5500 as its got EMT64 and generally better performane/power wise.
  8. We do systems based on the ASUS pundit barebone, this has a good stand for upright positioning and has an internal PSU. Tucking this behind a normal TFT would only be slightly deeper than an all in one and should be a cheaper solution. (How much width do you have available? Upright these are about 9cm wide so can sit next to the display/KB/Mouse with the TFT pushed right back to the wall) http://www.sclonline.co.uk/uploads/stock/Asus-Pundit.jpg Check some pre built specifications here Pundit Systems If you would like a specific spec/quote feel free to PM me the details and I will get somebody from sales to email you a quote.
  9. Ohhh its alright for some!
  10. Thanks webman I had no idea there used to be a RM One based on the Enlight chassis. Maybe with the slim models a good option would be to disconnect them so they cant be opened (providing you don't need to use them that is!)
  11. Isent the RM One a standard Micro ATX mainboard with full size drives ?
  12. I thought they used full size 5.25" drives not slim notebook models?
  13. This seems to have been happening since the latest round of windows updates, have you tried installing the lastest drivers/apps for the sound card? Realtek HD Audio Download Page
  14. Only by booting a winpe 2.0 image cleaning and partitioning the drive with diskpart, formatting the drive and writing a 2k/xp boot sector then running an unattended setup. Still playing with WDS at the mo
  15. Put a test hard drive on it and clean install windows, this will let you narrow it down to either a bad windows or a hardware issue.
  16. This model is still current MSI K8MM3-V Its Socket 754 Onboard VGA Sound Lan mATX 2x DDR333/400 Ram Slots 1x AGP 3x PCI 2x IDE Ports (4x devices) 1x FDD Port 2x SATA Supports 48 Bit LBA no problem If you need to know anything really specific I think we have stock so I could always go and check one for you.
  17. Those arent hard glass gwendes, hard glass are normally a bit more expensive.
  18. Power may become an issue with those bits it depends on how many HDD, optical drives & additional hardware you have. Was your old mainboard SIS chipset as well? I would certainly try a fresh install of windows to start with if you have done one already.
  19. What spec was the old mobo and what spec is the new one, is the rest of the hardware the same? CPU Ram etc? Is the new board a different chipset? Have you re installed windows?
  20. A small diskpart script is needed here, I have a few somewhere let me know if you would like me to post them here, also the diskpart version in WinPE2.0 is good enough to assign the fisrt fixed disk as disk 0 unlike the old version in WinPE 1.5 which would always assign empty removable drive slots as Disk 0 1 2 etc so you would have to use more scripts to pipie out the actual hdd. I feel your pain the system builder documentation isent much better. I will upload all the docs I have as there are some walkthroughs from the US SB team which might shed some light on some of the common problems.
  21. Cool if you could post the model number of the drive I could double check if it has the feature.
  22. Re check your jumper settings on the sammy and specifically look for something called clip, you dont want clip enabled. The clip function is used to limit the hdd to 32GB so it would be compatible with boards that have a 32Gb limit as already mentioned. If clip is set on your drive it will only appear as 32GB.
  23. How old is the machine? Some BIOSs have a 32GB limit, update the BIOS would be a good place to start.
  24. Better than Sensi ?
  25. Dan how could you make such an accusation? Its not like all of his eight posts are asking people to call IJT or anything :?
