If you got a speedtouch router you can use opendns and block all other servers. Also you can use Dns-o-matic if your on a dynamic ip. You set the router to only give out the right servers via dhcp.

They are to replace dell r200 quad core 8gb ram boxes with sata 250gb hdds. Both have had the motherboard replaced under warranty. I want to use hyper-v 2012 to build a redundant environment.

I am looking for two new servers for running server 2012. On top of this I want to run hyper-v I got to run full server as I need to use bitlocker. I am them running an Sbs 2008 and another 2008 server holding a sql database. I then want run hyper-v replicate to given falt tolerance. I am looking for two severs with 16gb ram and 1tb to 2tb of storage. What do people suggest?

I once got told of that I had broken my network into too many subnets by a network consultant and that one subnet was fine for 600-800 machines. I did get the hp 4108gl running out of steam for routing.

That would mean that every switch cab would need an L3 switch. I used that design before but with each cab on /24 and routing at the centre on a hp 4108gl.
