For package management I would use PDQ full version as using the free version to supplement SCCM has been really good. SCCM was in place when I arrived but if I was looking for light weight I would use MDT for imaging and PDQ for software deployment.

My view is with IWB replacement is if you can standardize on software not constrained to one board maker and make that migration free up your large format display chooses. The future is going to be devices in learners hands zapping content to the board. So why are we still putting an interactive board on a wall when I could give staff a laptop or a touchscreen at their desk. An interim solution a quite like the Casio low maintenance projector offing to keep the IWB's going. Interactive display do not make sense it the current funding world that most school find then selves in. If I can buy a new projector and flip laptop for a staff member to me that make more sense.

Hi I have a couple of questions about the iPad Air a supplier has said that the iPad Air software is still current and will be for some time. These are B grade iPad stock that we are looking at getting. I remember somewhere that you can have issue managing iPad and apps if they don't come an approved route. Please can anyone comment on this thanks? Or should I at least be getting the iPad Air 2? This is to run tapestry on. I want to manage this with Zulu desk MDM.

Yes I totally agree and this may work in a secondary school I not sure if it works for the early years. The key point is that the interactive surface is always at the users height.

I have got 3 host with 2x Quad core hosing 9 Windows VM servers on them and 3 non Windows machines. What is the best way of licencing them for 2016 as they are mainly server 2012 non R2? I also have a backup server running 2008 but I am considering moving this into the cluster and adding this as a hosted service. Ideally I would move them all up to 2016 and do the same to the cluster they are running on.

Yes we get this on one machine for teachers in the Library HP 260 G2 but this is the only machine with this setup. Also are you aware of a no power on issue where you need to press the yellow button on the motherboard.

I also sugget that the size of room vs class-size vs purse strings comes in. Everyone would love a 70in but a couple of hundred per room can massively reduce the number of rooms that can be replaced per year.

The easiy way to get there is \\domain.local\SYSVOL\domain.local\Policies\PolicyDefinitions contains the admx and \\domain.local\SYSVOL\domain.local\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\en-us or en-GB contains the adml. Just copy the admx and adml over you may want to back old ones before replacing.
