  4. Yes but I not programmed the same way as the wife to look for extra jobs after coming in from work and taking our son 3 nights a week. I also want to get out on my motorbike after under taking the expensive training and passing the test. Sometimes it feels like you would get more rest at Downtown Abbey!
  5. My wife’s got moving fever. She taken against the cloths rail in the hall as that messy so I have to go up stairs to get any coat. She making all these daft decisions to try and make our home some kind of show home that not nice to live in but apparently everyone wants to buy. It not even on the market yet and no estate agent is booked to come and take photos. Coats might not be a big thing but living in the country with dogs you tend to have more than one coat depending what your doing. How do I cope with this for six month plus?
  6. Heating fells more effective and walls feel warmer when I had a PIV.
  7. My local Ju-Jutsu club cost me £5 a week that good for a bit of socialising and hanging out with people using Swords. I only been going 6 months but it great fun. I get to fight someone at the end of the week.
  8. PIV units are great they should be left to run 24x7. We had the heated one I would say walls felt warm and house seemed to heat up quicker.
  9. Also a lot of systems use either email or mobile number as the anchor to create the account. An email address is free so have your own.
  10. You should be able query this in log analytics/sentinel. There are open source work books that can be used in sentinel.
  11. Head teacher controlling communication can’t seem to right in bullet points key information. They have to put lots of waffle in any letter. Also parents don’t seem to understand that they can’t put the same e-mail and phone number for both parents. Also the admin team don’t understand this either. Are school still sends letter even though they have Primary 365. I hoping that second school will be better but the centralised IT system in NI schools is run by Capita. So most schools don’t even use cloud MIS and are stuck with useless SIMS.
  12. Space invaders on a black and white crt machine at my Grandparents houses. This was some time in the 1980’s I was playing it.
  13. These are all good point I would say your excited to lead on this new project and keen to build a partnership with a supplier to fully deliver. Biggest think is they will need a cloud MIS first.
  14. Modern management is great for laptops and desktops. I was a sceptic before joining a cloud first company in 2019. We provisioned everything using Intune. I have also used Salamander and it a great product. Ideally on a small primary you get rid of all severs.
  15. Has anyone got the Linux syslog to Azure Sentinel working? Where are you running your boxes and any tips?
  16. Picking up this treated why does the energy efficiency of a lot of screens seem so bad?
  17. This becomes an absolute nightmare what about kids that leave part way through the school or GCSE’s or A-levels. Do you have an OU that a 1 year delete of data and another that’s longer? Or can you claim it part of an existing business process providing a service.
  18. I have a child and have done the early morning wake up how do you get to bed at 9pm and have all the jobs done?
  19. This would suggest a multi tier strategic for data it easier if all A level and GCSE data is kept for 2.5 years. I mean unless you have systems that are that up to date that you can invidulisie backups.
  20. Ok well tell that to kid that has put all the effort into the last year course work and it lost. I know they should have a backup but the teacher knew they had done it. This kid would not have been able to redo the work we where able to get the tapes back. This might have give the child the chance they needed to get on but sure I don’t have to bother. I do not think keeping data for two years is unreasonable.
  21. Total agree we live in a 4 bedroom, 3 reception rooms + study rooms house on a 0.9 acre site. I have aspersions of retiring and going other place on holiday so would like to pay the mortgage off early. Looks like it will be 25 years anyway.
  22. My wife wants to look at buying a 6 bedroom house as it save money as the kitchen and windows are already done and it has solar! She worried redoing a kitchen will cost £35k as that what one of her clients spent on their house! Note they have a his and hers Porsche! How do people’s cope with out a utility room and separate boot room?
  23. Ideally I would walk the dogs before work. I used to be an early riser but I can’t get the wife to get to bed on time. It does not help her late finish on two nights. So getting up got harder going to bed at 11.30pm. We have repeatedly tried to go to bed at 10.30pm but there always seems to be the excitement of hanging out washing just as we are going to bed.
  24. How do you do enough exercise in your 30 minute lunch and have time to eat? I used to have an hour lunch so 30 minutes for a walk and 30 minutes to eat? My step have been poor.
  25. BT are increasing by £5.50per month my broadband contract does anyone know the cost of leaving BT early?
