Just to update this thread, the contents of ei.cfg in the sources folder need to be as follows for Windows 10 Professional on a volume licence: [Edition] Professional [Channel] Retail [VL] 1

normally it would - My normal USB doesn't have the ei.cgf file so I can pick the version depending on the school's licence, but this is the first time I've bought a PC with win 10 home and it didn't stop to ask the version because the key is built in to the firmware, so I'm trying to work around that. Arthur - That's what I would've thought too, but the only options listed on the MS website are OEM and Retail. I'll give it a go and let you know.

After going round in circles with slmgr.vbs I realise that I need to create an ei.cfg file in the sources folder of the installation usb. My question is does a Win 10 Pro MAK from VLSC count as retail or OEM for the purposes of the ei.cfg file? Thanks,

I had a brainwave triggered by the test page I printed from the server: It said Driver - Type 4 User Mode and I remembered reading something ages ago about windows 7 having issues with it. I reinstalled the printer with a type 3 driver, and deployed it through Print Management and it worked first time!

Hi, I use an encrypted mac and transfer files and they don't stay encrypted once they leave my machine. Are the contractors using built in FileVault or something else? If they're using FileVault, could it be that the files they are transferring are in a zip created on the mac and then unzipped on a pc using the built in windows unzipper? This has caused me lots of headaches as the files are marked as encrypted and can't be backed up or deleted or decrypted easily.

Hi All, I'm having an issue with a printer (the only printer on the network) which is deployed through Print Management. The printer shows up for the user, but when a document is sent to it, it doesn't print. I can manually add the shared printer on a local account and print fine, i can also print directly from the server. Any ideas on where to start with this? Thanks,
