I've just bought a Spiderpodium. I'm really impressed. It's so versatile. I have a problem when using my HTC Desire on SatNav where the phone gets hot. I can now hang it safely in front of a vent. It also works as a desktop cradle.

You can't restrict to certain pupils. You could restrict to SEN Module but I'm sure they could shortcut to all pupil details.

I bought my 3 year old granddaughter a Digital Camera for her birthday. She understands it should be treated well and carefully. 10 months later it is still working. I handed out my digital camera to a group of primary school kids in S Africa for 3 weeks, they had free reign of it (except when they wanted to get out of the car to snap some Baboons), it's still working. I got some good shots out of it.

Rushed to post as I had to attend a dead or dying server. The central is MSSQL.SIMSSQL2008\MSSQL\school(1-12).mdf

I was forgetting the Centralised server we are running with about 12 instances, one DB.

We have several sites with multiple instances. Also some training machines and test machines with up to 6 instances. All on the same database. The Database itself is the least important name-wise, in my mind.

Reasons to name Database instance other than SIMS are: More than one Instance, now or in future. Easier to identify the instance if sent to Capita. If you are only having or likely to have one instance then SIMS is absolutely fine. As someone who supports many Databases and instances, easy identification is useful.

I had 4 male friends come along together, I had to separate them. The serious learners from the "sit there chatting and sometimes turn the PCs on, drag me off to the pub after" groups. After leaving the school I got a knock on the door, months later. One of my students "My computer is broke". That was over 10 years ago. I still fix their computers, design their websites...... and occasionally go down the pub.

Mine was fully funded as I was going to do evening classes for them and employed by them (The LA).

CLAIT was what I taught. EDCL is more popular these days. I would definitely advise you to take a trainers course yourself before running any courses.
