  1. Internet High 5! Nice spot timbo343
  2. Have you got the "isolate wireless client traffic" on with whitelist?
  3. cool, happy to help matey. ours works fine so can compare config if needed. To answer a previous question we currently don't give detailed instructions for installing certs. Thinking I might need to
  4. lol so say again what doesn't work, you've confuzzled me now
  5. we have 2x ruckus 3050 controllers running 9.9.0.0 build216 and 32 x zf7363 APs
  6. Here you go @timbo343 The hotspot service as you can see takes the user to http://192.168.31.253/byod/index.html as their login page which has info on what to do, then the link down the bottom takes them to the ruckus login page. It only works because of the entry in the walled garden to allow unathenticated users to 192.168.31.253 . Does that make sense?
  7. Also to add sw guy has been very good. Last suggestion is to have a virtual switch for every vlan. We don't have enough physical nics to do this though
  8. Will do later when I'm attached to my pc
  9. We do this a different way. We direct them to a page that has the cert on first allowed in ruckus without auth. Then there is a link at the bottom to the ruckus login. Someone else on edugeek gave me idea so can't take credit
  10. Hi All Anybody else using smoothwall on hyper-v with VLANS willing to let us know how you are setup. We were experiencing weird issues with dropped packets manifesting itself as page load problems sporadically, especially visible with HTTPS Old setup Hyper-V server hosting Smoothwall VM. 2 Virtual switches. 1 with WAN and 1 with a team of 2 NICs to LAN. Smoothwall had 5 Virtual NICS with 3 of them tagged with VLAN 10, 20, or 30 for our 3 byod networks connected to the LAN vSwitch, 1 connected to the LAN vSwitch but no VLAN tagging and 1 connected the the WAN vSwitch, in the Hyper-V VM settings. Inside Smoothwall these were just presented as 5 Interfaces. On the switch we have VLAN1 untagged and 10, 20, & 30 tagged on the 2 ports that connect to the team to the Hyper-V server. Each network worked as expected. However we were getting lots of dropped packets on the LAN and the sporadic page loads. New setup as requested by SW support. Hyper-V server hosting Smoothwall VM. 2 Virtual switches. 1 with WAN and 1 with a team of 2 NICs to LAN. Smoothwall now has 2 Virtual NICS, 1 connected to the LAN vSwitch but no VLAN tagging and 1 connected the the WAN vSwitch, in the Hyper-V VM settings. Inside Smoothwall I have created 4 VLAN interfaces using LAN as the parent. 1 LAN untagged, 1 VLAN10, 1 VLAN20, and 1 VLAN30. All have relevant IP addresses on the respective subnets. untagged LAN network all works fine but none of the VLANed ones do. Could anybody share their config if they have similar setups. Love you

  12. I found with some boardworks stuff saving as pptm fixed these issues. Careful though as this broke some so make a backup before
  13. The system just works Colin. It's very good. Big update just released but haven't installed yet.
  14. Is this not what the unfiltered smart cache is for? You should be able to request access to it for an swgfl ip through the support desk
  15. We've set up scvmm to do something similar. Not used it in anger yet but gives users a pool of resources with a self service front end
  16. We had kaspersky before scep and it made me and my team want to gouge our eyes out with a rusty spoon
  17. We use SCEP through SCCM too. Breeze to setup and no problems since we started using it 9 months ago. Some people don't rate it though. On a course I went on the tutor was amazed we were using it.
  18. Same here @Sheridan . The small amount pcs we have upgraded are the fastest by a country mile. I was wetting myself when I saw how a core2duo wiped the floor with an i5 but most people have not noticed or just stopped complaining
  19. Direct access is also awesome
  20. We're using AD . Will have a look tomorrow
  21. Ours defo doesn't. Have you tried recreating the smoothwall ca?
  22. Sounds like an "ipad thing" asking for the password
  23. I was very disappointed too. We'd had a demo by iboss and it looked awesome. Will ask the boss who he went through.
