  1. No clearing restriction passcode doesn't work for me with profile manager. Soft resetting doesn't work apparently unless they have a passcode on the device. These don't as they are shared. Just blasting it away works for us which is a pita @3s-gtech I found the settings but no way of disabling
  2. Thanks @3s-gtech . I can't see how you can even disable it. @ThomL hard reboot just pops back into GA grrr There is a ""clear restrictions passcode" in Profile manager but doesn't seem to do anything
  3. @3s-gtech did I just see you back pedal furiously?
  4. Perhaps the baffoon is me then, I can't find this in Profile MAnager @3s-gtech. Any pointers?
  5. hahaha I know what you are saying @bossman . My Windows 10 deployment is still not going ahead for very similar reasons
  6. I actually find iPads pretty easy to manage but sometimes IOS updates introduce something like this where some baffoon has not thought about how it would work in the big wide world
  7. OOOHH MMMYYY GOODDDD!!!! Just had this myself. What are these Apple type people on??? Exactly the same experience as you.
  8. Never been able to use the app as I like dodgy cider being from zummerzet an all and they never have the dodgy ziders on the app.
  9. Soon you'll be able to manage edge switches with unms https://unms.com
  10. Love the unifi range. We are 1/4 unifi and 3/4 hp . Much prefer the bigger picture unifi gives me of my infra. With waps look out for the unifi hd nano. Looks like a good future product https://unifi-nanohd.ubnt.com/
  11. I found it buggy and unreliable so stopped my testing
  12. This won't break URL filtering. The filter will just not be able to see the content being loaded
  13. Bit of googling around looks like it is possible. I'd take the opportunity to rebuild the domain though in the summer.
  14. @Norphy @mavhc only joking lolz for the record if a pc is domain joined it keeps in sync with a DC anyway. Could have been a good task for our work experience kids though
  15. Tell me about it! Spent most of the day logging into my domain PCs changing the time.
  16. Cool story @mjk hahaha like our dpo has risk assessed that. I might ask the exams guys to ask her for it.
  17. £25 each from HP *Falls on floor* Will give you a PM now as I have just freed up some budget
  18. LOL! great idea though
  19. Hey edugeekers Anybody got a supplier of HP drive blanking plates. We are looking for both 3.5" and 5 1/4" plates for 8X00 series (they all seem to be the same parts). I just can't warrant paying £5 each for them on ebay grrrrrrrrr. Is these something @ICTDirect_Dave could help with? Need to wait for new budgets in April so no rush, just annoyed me so much I'm posting here. Mark
  20. I use infrastructure cals to licence servers. They include the os licence and system centre licence Costs me about 90 quid per physical server to licence with the infrastructure Cals with this part 9GA-00330 Microsoft EDU CORE INFR SRV STE STD And 400 quid per datacenter with this one 9GS-00160 Microsoft EDU CORE INFR SRV STE DAC I think that's pretty good value tbh
  21. Not sure about the SSO bit but you defo get the free azure AD bit. I use this to provision my office 365 licences using an AD group
  22. @ntoupin Thank you again so much for looking at this. From your explanation I worked out there was something in my html that breaking your code so I just redid the custom bits and it is fine now. Not sure why it stopped working though. Thanks again
  23. I hate seagoat drives. I hate Seagate drives even more
  24. @ntoupin Hey buddy. It seems some kind of update has broken the guest reg script. I haven't managed to pin down what has broken it and was wondering if you could spin me in the right direction. When somebody submits the form you get a message that says "Error: This username already exists. Please try again with a different username.". The script does actually make the account so obviously something in the error checking logic is wrong. Below is an output from the apache error log read1msg: mark request completed, ld 0x55f59b6394a0 msgid 2 request done: ld 0x55f59b6394a0 msgid 2 res_errno: 0, res_error: <>, res_matched: <>
