Some teachers don't need ict issues for this to happen. I had some teacher just the other day getting really stroppy with me because the computer wasn't working and apparently I had ruined their lesson. Tried some over the phone support which wasn't very productive as she wasn't very cooperative so As anyone would do, I marched over double time dropping my brew and biscuit. Got there and the computer wasn't even switched on. All I had to do was press the power button on the front of the computer. What I'm trying to say is everyone is put in the queue and made to wait their turn. On some occasions there is an immediate response but on most other occasions they will have to wait their turn. That stupid woman who didn't stop and take a breath before barking down the phone and wasted my time could have taken the priority away from a genuine incident that required our immediate assistance like my brew which by the time I got back after an ear bashing was cold and some thief stole my biscuit.

when you mean wireless repeater do you mean you daisy chained the AP using the secondary network port? does the speed return to a normal level if you unplug it and reboot the ap it is daisy chained too?

Has this only started happening since your last firmware upgrade? We are on those fw numbers here and have not noticed any difference in performance. There are upgrades to your version however seen as we both run the same firmware I suspect something else isn't quite right. Is it on all your UAP or just a few? Try restarting the POE switch? Double patch anywhere?

What version of sql are you running? If 2014 have you put it into compatibility mode as this addresses a number of performance issues that sims has with sql 2014

how is the HDD enclosed? USB caddy, internal SATA power... could it be Under power? Have you tested the PSU. I'm afraid that doesn't sound good. Do you get a ticking or any other unnatural noises coming from the HDD when you plug it in

How much ram does your box have installed? Have you any other programs other than sims and fms installed and running on the same server that could be consuming ram As others have mentioned sql will naturally consume as much as it can leaving the server with the bare minimum just enough to operate.

Not too sure how that would work logistically. That would rely on someone changing the toner after the first email. If it interrogates daily and emails you daily. If you miss the email ln friday it wouldnt get replaced until monday but would have reduced stock by 3 when only one was taken. As a suggestion I would be inclined to write a small program/access database what ever takes you fancy on a touch screen computer located in each of the stores. Simple database that has two button what toner has been taken and where too. This could email you a confirmation. With stock levels When you receive a delivery a technician signs the toner in to the store again emailing a confirmation with stock levels. This however would rely on staff actually signing it out properly but with discipline would actually work the way you want it to

Is there a high demand for aims during the summer holiday other than exams.? What I may be inclined to do is tell everyone aims will be unavailable except for a select few machines. install s3 and only deploy the agent and summer release to your exams officer and select few others for the mean time. Once exams are over you will hopefully have your shiny new server. Migrate it over then deploy the agent and the summer release to the rest of your client. You then only have to check a select few that may have the old server config

Im going to assume a number of things based on that you have o365 already. Easiest method would be to use AD connect to sync your AD into O365 and you have access to the o365 admin console. If you are allowing students and staff to download a copy of office 365 on to their own devices then this shows up as part of our EES agreement from your MS partner and as individual qty eg if you have 1500 students and 150 staff syncing from AD then you would need to have 1500 student O365 proplus licenses and 150 staff(faculty as they call it) o365 proplus licenses. I would advise adding another typical year numbers of licenses for the bit inbetween new kids starting and the ones leaving eg +250 students licenses but this is completely up to you. if you only use the online o365 the licenses they can be upgraded yourself within the admin console To actually physically assign the licenses you go through each users in the admin console toggling the licenses you want to activate for each user. Ms have promotional downloads on a webpage somewhere. Things like emails/banners etc to help promote office 365 to your users. Can't remember how to navigate their through the admin console but you may be able to Google it. When I get back on my computer I will have a look and post the link.

yeah robocopy mirror switch (/mir) essentially clones the source with the destination. if there are extra files in the destinations these are purged. like a forced delete

We have our installed on our finance teams computers who manage the induction of students and staff. I have access to parent pay so can install it on my machine if need be but this hasn't been necessary.
