Does anybody have a digital lead? has anyone approached their head teacher about it?

I'm pretty sure in small claims court they only require evidence that money was lent with expectation to be paid back. Writing up a payment plan after the fact doesn't make a difference as this happens all the time, and should be taken as evidence that this person knows the money was to be paid back. If you have text messages that prove he asked you for money, he received the money and you expected repayment then these can also be used for evidence.

Do you have no support from Civica?

The key part is getting all staff to update Edge, and actively remove the shortcuts themselves. I applied to users not devices. Below is what I set, I don't know if it's helping but had to do something.
-
Yes, Believe them because having 10,000 shortcuts on a desktop will slow down the PCs. I advised all staff to update Edge, on intune I set the Onedrive settings to not sync shortcut files from the desktop. I hoped this would stop the duplication of files. I haven't had any further reports of issues after making these changes, but I don't think Microsoft have fixed the issue yet.

Annoyingly I don't think there is a solution for Intune

I think it has something to do with Sync'd onedrive desktops. The edge shortcut is created during login, or opening edge. if this occurs before the desktop is sync'd then it creates a new one. Here's a thread about it - 'Work - Edge' Desktop Shortcut Reappears after deleting and reopening Edge Browser - Microsoft Community Hub

Anybody else getting staff with thousands of these shortcuts on the desktops?

Have you tried the free version? It does most things you require to manage devices.

For anybody else like me who is reviewing this website, we have decided to block it. It just doesn't fit right with a secondary school setting, even if it is heavily moderated the sheer amount of adverts is unsettling.

Has anyone got this website blocked, if so why?

It has been a strange tournament this year

Yes, we've been having speed issues. Just keep getting fobbed off on the portal. -
Yes we connect our PM4s using ethernet cables and the end one using a USB to the computer. No terminator is used here.

You need to apply by 10th of Febraury, to find out if successful by 31st March, to give notice in Jan 2024 to leave in April 2024. It's not complicated at all.. easy to explain to SLT.

We use Mosyle for students to log in to the Macs! I believe it's a fair amount cheaper.

I wouldn't supply anything less than an i5 for a teacher.

Adobe Aero looks to be the way to go.. on a set of iPads designated for use only by this course. The course contains material in which the students must produce an AR experience to use for marketing purposes, for example.. when holding your device up to a wall it will display flags of different countries and when you click the flags it will display information on certain aspects of that country.. the example I read was a wildlife marketing campaign. It's a great idea, sounds like a lot of fun for the kids so I'm prepared to give them what they need to achieve it.

I use a DS1513+ to do just this. Should consider what RAID configuration you want to use. I have 3 8TB drives under RAID 5 which gives me a good 14TB to use. I have found this to be more than adequate for a weekly backup of around 600 students and 100 staff + Sharepoints.

I'd put it up in the loft never to be seen again.
