If it's new then it already has windows on, possibly purchased with enrolment to your intune anyway so you just have to turn those ones on. If it's an old machine, then Windows bootable USB stick.. these are quite rare. If you're concerned about yearly rebuilds then you just push out re-installation from intune anyway.

Install Windows, join to intune.. let intune do its thing.

This is just the same as recent items, if you are told to save a document to a non-quick access area then you are at a loss. It is less functional than before, so not an improvement. Good to see it's not just our site though. Hopefully Microsoft will revert the changes.

Not very good if you want to start at the top and find the correct location. It's not a solution, just proves something has changed and it's now broken.

When you go to save something in any office programme, we always had OneDrive and Sites - Sharepoint as 2 options. Sites - Sharepoint has now disappeared and I can't get it back. Anybody else noticing this?

I have received complaints from staff that OneDrive and Sharepoint areas are taking a long time to Sync.. more so than they use to.

Has anybody successfully got the latest Python installed from intune?

I really didn't want this thread to become an advert for a specific company.. I just wanted a discussion on people interpretation of WEEE regulations and experiences of these IT Disposal companies leaving behind things they can't make money on.

So they take all your cables?, ethernet cables, vga cables, you've never thrown away something like a drill? Extension lead, hdmi cables, sim cards, american / european power cables that have been supplied with certain kit, ID Badges with chip inside? Batteries? My experience with these IT Disposal companies is they are only interested in computing equipment.

But what do you do with the stuff they don't take? Who deals with your other waste electronics and how do they get rid of them?

This is what I was going towards.. can you find anything that backs this up? When reading the policies it does not specify this, it specifically mentions that if you have a cable that comes with a device then that is WEEE waste and needs to be treated so.

What do your sites then do with things like Fridges, non household batteries and waste electrical items? Most of these companies tend to just want IT kit because it's the most profitable WEEE waste.

Out of curiosity, if you have some random kettle leads / power plugs / vga cables etc.. anything sort of cable or wire. Are you putting these in WEEE waste collection boxes? Most companies I use to collect my IT waste only want the computers / chargers they wouldn't take power cables etc..

I think his point was that if you were testing this to win £1000 on a live instance of SIMS. That is not an appropriate reason to access anyones data and would therefore be a data breach.

Already spent tonnes of money not being able to solve a problem so thought you would try and tempt someone with a small token figure. If your team can't solve it then it will probably take some real work time for someone with the expert knowledge to figure it out for you, such a person might decide the token value is not worth the hassle. Great little PR stunt you are pulling with no real expectations of finding a solution but using it to highlight a real problem, as it is just a PR stunt maybe you should put up £100,000. Your PR Stunt will gain some traction, picked up by news sources etc..

If anybody stumbles across this with the same problem, it turned out to be Senso.

Yes we're using Netsweeper also. It's not time sensitive for us, I've managed to replicate it by logging in as one user, switching to another and the browsing stops. Doesn't work with Chrome or anything.

We have a strange problem which appears almost random. It only ever occurs when a member of staff is switching user, once they get logged in Edge stops displaying websites. We are able to ping different sites using IP address and FQDNS. Anybody else experienced anything like this?

Those with iPads in circulation mainly in secondary schools, have you noticed students using the Focus feature to post rude and explicit message on the ipads? We're with Mosyle and they don't have access to be able to limit any changes made to this setting, wondering how other schools are dealing with it.

Not being able to run scripts at log in is annoying, but at least it makes you avoid having tons of scripts at log in.

Conditional access is already enforced, they use their mobile phones to authenticate off site, then Microsoft is forcing authenticator app afterwards.

We introduced MFA over a year a go outside of our environment. Since around the summer time, Microsoft have started enforcing the authenticator app. The trouble is it doesn't work for everybody. This starts the process of, sign in to office using MFA to mobile. Office then says to download authenticator app and doesn't let you proceed. Does anybody know where this is coming from as it certainly isn't being pushed out by us and I can't find the setting to turn it off?
