  1. Yes, currently having this issue since Easter on all student laptops but not staff's. Thought it was Fortinet firewall but could also be Lightspeed as we rolled them out at the same time. Our support company said it was probably an authentication error as student devices are fully cloud and staff will be connected to on prem servers which the authentication is happening through there. Students also have Lightspeed and staff don't. The only fix I have currently is restarting the laptop, waiting for the WiFi to connect and logging in, this fixed it every time. Students have told me that this happens at home as well which could point to Lightspeed being the culprit but I can't verify this. Asus and Lenovo laptops, Edge and Chrome.
  2. Try insights -> hotspot -> guests or /manage/default/insights/hotspot/guests after your server address.
  3. This has now been fixed if you update to the latest version of O365.
  4. We have found this has started this week. PowerPoint 365 2502 (18526.20604). I've told teachers to use extended mode for now and switch back to duplicate when not using PowerPoint.
  5. Can't you keep your ISP router but put it in modem mode, then connect your new router to that?
  6. I think they go into a folder called 'Recordings'.
  7. Students aren't allowed phones here either usually, but we have a couple of diabetics and a few students that get picked up by taxis so I'll charge their phones if needed. They have to be switched off by them in front of us before we'll charge it though as there was an issue with a student using a recording app on their phone when it was confiscated.
  8. It's in the title of the thread.
  9. It's quite resource hungry as well. It's giving our already slow laptops a battering.
  10. We have filtering and monitoring offsite, which was a selling point to parents to buy in to the scheme. We use Classroom.cloud in school for teachers to monitor laptops in classes but only works on the internal IP during school hours.
  11. Their support is fantastic, message them and they'll remote in and sort it for you.
  12. Seems normal in my experience. 900+ Intune Windows devices and there is absolutely no consistency with them receiving changes. Chrome OS/Google admin on the other hand is miles better and changes reflect within 5-10 minutes at the most.
  13. They do multiple version of the same headphones - 2 x 3.5mm 3 pole, 1 x 3.5mm 4 pole and USB. We've got both the 3 pole and 4 pole sets and the microphones for fine for our environment.
  14. https://crusaderav.co.uk/products/classroom-headphone-set-32-robust-headphone-mk2-1-x-4-pole-s9255 You can't go wrong with these. Stood the test of time in a high school, they're still going strong after 5+ years.
  15. Each of our laptops is numbered and assigned to a specific person and we have them all in Intune. There is a member of SLT that is really on the ball regarding the laptops. We check for missing laptops each morning and a sanction is given to the student as they won't be charged for the day. Each cabinet is checked periodically and any damage is noted and a greater sanction, conversation with parents is had by the SLT member. Luckily they are covered under insurance and most of the damage is cracked screens. Our biggest problem is student's own laptops as we have to provide a replacement laptop for them and we just can't keep up with the sheer amount of broken devices.
  16. We use SnipeIT. It's free for self-hosted.
  17. I think we exported the certificate from MMC as a .cer file and pushed it out as a configuration profile in the root certificate store.
  18. You can try contacting POSH. https://saferinternet.org.uk/professionals-online-safety-helpline Phone – 0844 381 4772 Email – [email protected] They've helped us remove various social media pages before when we were getting nowhere.
  19. Have you checked that your DP cable doesn't have the 20th power pin connected? It can cause weird issues like that.
  20. There's a recycle bin in the bottom right whilst you're in the 'My Forms' tab.
  21. Try clearing cookies and doing a hard refresh.
  22. Try adding the mouse & touchpad URI ms-settings:mousetouchpad https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/launch-resume/launch-settings-app#ms-settings-uri-scheme-reference
  23. We use Netsupport DNA/Classroom cloud. You can filter down to what kind of alerts you want to be sent and to what people.
  24. We use Yellowgrid. Very happy with them.
