I've managed to fix it by rolling back to the previous update using the below in an elevated command prompt: cd "c:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun" - hit enter officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.19127.20240 - hit enter This will popup an Office update box - let that run and once completed it should show the previous version in Word etc Then disable office updates until Microsoft releases a fix

Has anyone else experienced PowerPoint presenting issues (it's one job) after 25h2 We are seeing staff when using Presenter view not get the expected output on 2nd screen Smartboards or Projectors and having to go to dulipcate. If, whilst presenting, you use the options to switch screens it corrects. Only notice issue this week Tues 07/10/25 , suspicious.... Sean

Firslty sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place. I don#t post very often. Is anyone else have major issues with Inventry just now. I'll be more specific. We moved over to a new MIS mid Sept and when Inventry made the config change I beleive our system has been rebuilt so will be latest version. We have a Master on one site and three slave installs on others along with Inventry Central. Since moving over, if a staff member signs into one site they are signed into all sites but only for 15mins or so, before dropping off the systems entirely Useless We have been bounced around through various levels of support and are now with the deveopment team. I've been informed its not just us and then a number of schools are experiacing the same issue. After a lot pushing they have given an estimated fix time of 16th Oct Just wondered if we are indeed in the same boat as others or as i suspect adrift alone Thanks for listening, it helps....... It so frustrating I agree. School policy is to not post the salary. I have never understood the reason. The candidates that apply and appear a good fit for both themselves and the school will get call to discuss this and see if they want to take their application further.

Good morning all, Can I ask is many people are building Staff Subject\Department Teams populated from your MIS. We are doing this with ClassTeams for students obviously but wondered if you can do the same for permanent Staff Teams. Sean

I've a folder shared from a server with an exe in it. on the users desktop if they double click the first time in the day they get the error: "The drive or network connection that the shortcut "my program.lnk" refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again" Run it a second time and it starts up without an issue. So presumably not a permissions issue. Anyone else seen this

Has anyone experienced a problem with the latest apple TVs not connecting to the web. We have a vlan the bypasses our webfilter (light speed) and routes directly to web via our firewall (fortigate) Old apple TVs will connect just fine bit the latest ones will not. I'm guessing there is a slight change in protocol perhaps that our firewall doesn't like. Many thanks S

Enviroment: Windows Server 2008 R2 sat in VMWare Error: object invoked disconnected from its clients at login Error Events: none We have had a slight issue with our school main database server in which if i tried to login from VMWare console i received the error 'object invoked disconnected from its clients' and if i tried to login remotely the RDC disappeared from screen after taking credentials happily. The server was functioning fine network access to shares, SQl woring well, just not letting access. No errors or even warning events appeared in log. Found very little help on the web for this issue. Most articles spoke of vbscripting with excel, not helpful Solution seems to be the oldest one in the book, will monitor to see if it stays solved. Problem cleared after reboot. Easier said than done during reporting season. Hi Duxbuz, did you ever get a solution to the object invoked etc problem at login. I have an SQL server that's functioning just fine but if i try to login with either local or domain acounts i get the error you described. Many thanks Sean
