The tape drive has termination pin on the back. Well it has 8 oairs of jumpers, 3 for SCSI ID, currently set to ID 0, DC disabled, SCSI parity enabled, one pair not in use, Term power on, and termination enabled. In it's previous install, it was on a SCSI cable with multiple connectors and a terminator. Also had 2 other SCSI devices. The LSI card is a SYM8600SP, to which i've found the manual here; http://www.lsi.com/DistributionSystem/AssetDocument/files/docs/techdocs/storage_stand_prod/PCISCSICont/HABs/8600sp.pdf

Hi, I have a sony digital data storage tape drive - 12GB native i think, it's a sony SDT-9000. It has a SCSI SE connector, and i want to put this in a server along with a SCSI card make by LSI. But i dont know if they're compatible. The tape drive came from another server but it had an adaptor on it and a different type of converter. I've attached pictures of these devices, my question is do i just need a 50 pin SCSI cable? Cheers Matt PS; sorry about me being in the pics, was using the webcam on the NC10.

we had this issue with cc3 before going cc4 they would connect without any encription; but not with it. a solution; plug in (to net) log on as administrator, add the wireless, set it to infrustructure only, and not to use any other networks than thoes added, log off unplug and test. this worked for us on cc3 with d-link accesspoints (5 or 6) over 50 laptops, using WPA-PSK, TKIP encription. hope this helps. (they took 3 or 4 mins after booting up to get their IP's over wireless tho)

access is a good start... we used asset guard until it broke - was crap, dont use it as it's just a front end to an access database anyway. FMSIS should have a document explaing how they want it - thats probably useful to look at if they have one.

we have the same issue here. to make sure wireless is working - get a un cc4'd laptop with wifi and go walkies around the place, do a few reboots... this will tell you if your issue is cc4 or wireless... it's unlikely DHCP is the issue.

sometimes this is hard; finding the correct patch could take forever. the first thing i would do is disconnect all patched cables that have no active electronics on them- ie no lights flashing on the switch, i would then use the cable tester. there is no point testing the ones that are working - but you all know that. try narrowing your search down, if you know where the one next to it is patched try looking around that area in the patch panel. if your patching is a real mess it may be worth spending time mapping out your network.

you should look into investing in layer 3 switching - the linksys 2024 are a good managed gigabit switch.

i'm shocked... i knew they were good from having it for weeks now but, not this good - this is better than my last 4 pc's put together and it's smaller a microsoft exam book.... amazing stuff. they sell it at a netbook - it really isn't. it's a small powerhouse ideal for buisness. Well done samsung. next thing to try is some rendering and autocad...

i'm finally getting round to using virtual boxes for testing apps and the like, and to my supprise the NC10 is coping well. currently running the following; windows live mesenger, explorer windows, firefox - edugeek, windows media player - playing calvin harris, one note, and 2 virtual boxes under InnoTek VirtualBox; one installing XP and the other running server2003... CPU's are running about 65%.... anyone else doing anything with their's that proves how powerfull they actually are?
